[HELP] Removing Tablet PC component breaks Shell Search (LTSC 2019)

"if you cant remove can you disable in Features instead?"
see if its a Feature, if its enabled and if it is Disable and see how Search behaves.

Wtf do I do wrong dude.
I just simply remove Tablet PC component, NOTHING else, and Search bar break after that.
There is something going on.
However, thanks to confirm that I'm the only one, I edit the first message
You should use the preset I provided to simplify using pure "install. wim". The same iso, the same preset, "I am the only one" is absolutely impossible to appear.Wishing you success

I don't have a copy of the FOD ISO for LTSC 2019, but I've never seen Tablet PC or Shell Search provided as FOD packages.

i mean as in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features - Turn Windows features on or off.
just having the files present may be en ough, like disabling Internet Explorer but not breaking Windows Explorer.

Microsoft does not provide it specifically, but it can be restored from the official ISO
DS \ Packages \ FeaturePack found 'winemb tablet'
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:<cab path>
This is the only feasible solution

I don't you think you understand. Windows Features for an offline image can only exist as:
- Preinstalled package, enabled by default
- Preinstalled package, disabled by default
- Not installed, but installable from DISM online or the FOD ISO

When a FOD exists in the image, NTLite lists it under the Updates page, under Existing packages. Not installed FOD's have a stub component, so Windows knows that FOD exists and can be selected for installation from the Control Panel.

I can't duplicate this problem with NTLite v2024.4.9916.

1. Loaded en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_5795bb03.iso
2. Removed Tablet PC, which automatically removes Auto-Rotation Manager

Windows 11 x64-2024-05-10-12-33-12.png

Now to be fair, I'm running under a VM and not a physical machine that may enable tablet-like device features.

It seems that I made a mistake. I just checked the ISO and only Win7 has a table PC recovery package, while Win10 is no Auto-Rotation Manager. after reboot it shows, Unable to complete feature configuration, undoing, reboot into system and still nothing. In Windows 7, deleted table PCs can be freely restored, but after Windows 8.1, they become unavailable

Who needs that anyway?

W7 provides Tablet PC as non-reinstallable FOD. It can exist as feature enabled or disabled; or completely removed by NTLite.

After removal, you can't restore it. Host Refresh requires W10 or later, and W7 doesn't have a FOD ISO or online DISM download.

I just realized that files containing "tablet pc" (such as ". man and. dl") are not related to it. Confused with the Telnet client I previously restored, their spellings are too similar. Thank you for your reminder
My previous Raspberry PI used Lean xp and had telnet component packs to recover from
