Latest NTLite (.7080) - Cannot Connect to Network Shared Folders

Ran three times with the same results - can no longer access my network shared folders. However, I can access my wifi printer.

Ran with .7070 all was fine again.

Win 10 LTSC 2019 X64

Where can one find older versions of NTLite?

you should upload your preset if u want the problem to be tested and fixed. did u configure your network settings and antivirus internet security settings?

Please attach your preset, older version would not differ, sharing works fine here with 95% of components removed.

Make sure the Computer Browser service is not removed or disabled.

I haven't changed any settings in many months.

The three runs I mention earlier are with the same settings (attached) that I always use. I do add latest online updates. These three runs were also identical to the .7070 run that works fine. Each time all files deleted, rebooted and extracted files fresh.

Thanks, but cannot replicate the issue.

So, I used LTSC + latest updates + your preset, live and image, both had no issue accessing the network shares.

Are you maybe skipping something, can you send me the exact preset used in your latest test (not this old original) and was the ISO unedited prior?

That "old original" is the exact preset used. I have replicated the issue many times now - .7070 or earlier works fine, .7080 or .7095 = cannot connect to shares.

That said, if no one else runs into this problem, don't worry about it. I will just stick with .7070.

Thanks for looking into it.

I'm not at ease if it's so easy to replicate for you.

How is the share made that you are accessing, by which OS or a NAS, if you know is it SMB 1.0 or 2.0?

Thanks.

I have a media player that uses SMB 1.0 that is setup with its GUI. I also have a laptop with Win 7. I set up shares both by command line and by right clicking a folder and going through the Sharing tab.

I have tried again several times this morning. Using a vanilla LTSC ISO and no updates. I also ran it without any of my tweaks to rule them out.

Every time the same results - .7070 all fine, .7095 cannot connect to shares.

Clueless as to what else I could check.

The SMB 1.0 share I referenced is normally the only share on my LAN and where I noticed my reported problem. I added a standard shared folder on a laptop running Win 7 after nuhi's questions and it wouldn't connect either. Looks like I screwed up when I added that share as my problem is in fact only with SMB 1.0

Using the sets posted, .7070 and earlier add SMB 1.0 in the "Configure - Features" - "Enabled" section.

Using later than .7070 it is added as above but then takes all three SMB 1.0 entries back out in the "Configure - Features" - "Disabled" section. Again, this is with the same sets.

Maybe related to this post: SMB 1.0 client not checked when loading preset ? I don't know given that post started in January and this problem just showed up, but a fix for that is scheduled for the next NTLite release so hopefully it fixes this problem as well.

Edit: The SMB entry looks like the screen shot I referenced above with either version - but if I manually check SMB 1.0 before processing with .7095 all is good, though nothing changes in the sets.
