Start Menu's Pictures folder's shortcut still shows up after being disabled

I disabled the Start Menu's Pictures folder's shortcut and it still shows up. I used a Windows 10 Enterprise 2004 19041.1 x64 pt-pt image and I've been having this problem since Windows 10 Enterprise 1903 18362.1 x64 pt-pt.

Works fine in my test.
Attached picture, used latest NTLite and 1903 Ent as in your preset.
Tried just Settings, it worked, then the whole Preset, also fine.

Let me know if you find out the actual cause.

edit: I'll retest on 2004 to see if they removed/changed the option.

Redid the test on Win10 2004, also works as expected, so ball is on your side.

I used the below preset in a 19041.1 Enterprise x64 pt-pt build and I still have the same issue.

If you don't have any new info, I cannot help you, maybe report to Microsoft that "policy for disabling pictures on Start Menu is not working in your image".

If so then why do you want us to say if non-en-us images have problems the en-us one doesn't for you to fix them? Does that mean you can fix some problems which occur in non-en-us images and other ones you can't? Speaking of that, then why do non-en-us images have problems in the first place?

That's not new info, new info would be to find the reason why I could not replicate what you see.

According to your previous statement it's because you didn't try my build (Enterprise 19041.1 x64 pt-pt) as well as maybe the previous build (Enterprise 18362.1 x64 pt-pt) too. You told me some problems only happen in non-en-us images and for us to tell you the problems we're having in non-en-us images for you to fix them. Does that mean you can fix some problems which occur in non-en-us images and other problems you can't? If I don't have this problem in a 19041.1 en-us build it's ridiculous when I already had it in a 18362.1 build pt-pt build and they should have fixed it in the 19041.1 pt-pt build.

EDIT: I just tried in the Enterprise 19041.1 en-us build and I had the same problem so I don't know why you didn't.

Well, what can we do now, if you saved the actual preset used and told me which ISO to test on, I might.

If keep screensketch and Snippingtool the shortcut might be needed in the right click menu of start, coz the pictures folder is the default save option unless you directed this to other folder.
And please updating to the newest NTlite version before make Nuhi work overtime - see you use v1.9.0.7539.

I keep the User Experience for Windows app which according to NTLite includes Input App and Screen Sketch functionalities and I already tried the latest NTLite version. I'm not seeing what does this folder have to do with the Start Menu's right click menu.

In default pictures folder of USER you have two folders for saving screensketch and screenpics by default from Windows10 by design. You can't rearrange them wihtin NTLite. It has to be done in a live install. So, if you keep screensketch and screenpic (snippingtool?) opportunity it will keep the shortcut to find the pics you've saved there in their respective folders on default save using the tools!?!

Removing the User Experience for Windows app on NTLite disables Tablet PC which in turn breaks Office OneNote. Anyway, I removed the Snipping Tool, I've never used Screen Sketch and I'm not getting why does this have to do with the Start Menu's Pictures folder's shortcut and why do you mention the Start Menu's right click menu. I just want to successfully disable this Start Menu folder shortcut on NTLite.

Testet your preset from 19041.388.200709-0342.VB_RELEASE_SVC_PROD1_CLIENTMULTI_X64FRE_PT-PT (entreprise version from here) and change from Disabled to Disabled (Locked) then it’s working, but then you can’t change it back if needed before you delete these 2 lines in registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\Start]
"AllowPinnedFolderPictures"=dword:00000001
"AllowPinnedFolderPictures_ProviderSet"=dword:00000001

Or you can change the behavior from GPO settings on a liveinstall (se attached image) and copy the hidden folder //Windows/Sytem32/GroupPolicy in to your mounted image in NTlite.

I tried that setting ("Disabled (Locked)") and it worked but like you said I can't change it back on the Settings app the "normal way".
