If you remove this file in Network\Internet Explorer\JScript\Internet Explorer HTML Viewer\ Internet Explorer, then html in your settings have problems remapping to a new or different browser or setting another browser as default. Meaning you cannot change it to something else. You cannot change it in registry since the cypher used to prevent change prevent you from changing it, plus, you cannot move or change it.....their is NO QUICK REGISTRY FIX to fix it. This tool help you to change your browser to something else other than edge or explorer.

Thanks for reporting, will test Edge Html Viewer (32-bit) removal and see if that's possible to avoid.

Then if not, will see about the tool, sounds useful.

Yes Nuhi.

The tool is not my work......inside the rar is a text file with the owners details and website. It is free so I don't think it would be a problem.

If one remove Microsoft accounts sign in service you cannot register windows at all. The same with client licence service.

Cheers and enjoy

"a portable Browser must be registered in the registry first to work with SetDefaultBrowser." Dammit. :(
Oo, i got a fix for that, hehe.

You cannot set another browser in Windows 10-1809 via registry if Edge html is removed....even if you copy the registry key....inside windows\system32 is an xml reference file that point the registry towards the browser option. This file gets deleted once you remove the html file....and here is the kicker........it changes with machine code.....or so it looks like. I have been running a couple of virtuals and so far they differ in registry entry.....each one of them

UPDATE: CONFIRMED
Network\Internet Explorer\JScript\Internet Explorer HTML Viewer\ Internet Explorer is causing the browser problem. It depends on whether you remove edge or not. With out removing edge then Network\Internet Explorer\JScript\Internet Explorer HTML Viewer\ Internet Explorer causes the problem. If you remove edge then both cause the problem. The one is tide to the java script of internet explorer and the other to internet explorer itself.

Thanks, will check these days and report back.
Sorry for the delay, as when I tested the initial report, could not replicate the issue.

I run FF Portable in W7. That being a problem in itself
I don't know if this will work in W10, but here is the authors site;
