I did work it out later, downloading and staging/enqueueing the missing updates and it made an ISO just fine. Not sure if the ISO is functional fully, but that's another topic. This is more of a report on what happened in case things could be improved in this regard, other than that it's all...
Hello
1. I haven't used NTLite for quite a while so I've installed it fresh on my new main machine a few days ago and extended the license.
2. I picked the en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332 as the source and proceeded with making my edits.
3. I used the update tab to fetch...
Hello
In the description for ContentDeliveryManager in the hover tooltip at the bottom it says Needed For: OOBE + Microsoft Account, but there's no note for this in Extra Info column and the setting is not locked down and can be toggled.
Mistake on the locking or description? Thanks
Ah, just in time, I would have made several new tests and probably went for other things not this one, was looking at AitAgent and others, saving me a couple of hours indeed.
NTLITE should please make a note about this in the new version. Thanks!

So I guess to do it the best way, you said I need to use RTM way back in 2010 and build it up, that does indeed seem familiar.
I had a plan worked out and pretty much understood most of it, I unfortunately went busy for 6 months and now I forgot a lot, I apologize for this thread going off the...
Sure I was going to redo it ofcourse, I believe some of the updates that break older games were added from 2015-2020, but I forgot exactly. Need to check my notes.
Thanks for your warning, indeed this was one of the 2 attempts I thought I could see if it'll work, it was optimistic.
Eventually, I still have to remove those updates somehow later for a number of games to work. I assume the commuinty has most likely figured out a way to do that already?
Actually, I forgot where I was left off and just started over, infact, I think I it would have been more conflict-friendly if I made my edits after removing updates, exporting that as WIM package and then adding the updates as I later found out in my notes.
That's because many of these updates...
Using Win7 ISO
Configure -> Settings -> Desktop -> Takbar - Button Grouping does not work, stays Default. (Maybe not applicable to Win7, in that case the option should not be listed)
Hello
I freshly installed NTLite v2.3.2.8526 64-bit and renewed the license. I opened an earlier WIM image made with NTLite ~2.1.x.xxxxx (~June 2021)
Stage 1: The ISO is Win7 Ultimate EN-US 64-bit 7601.24214.180801-1700 - with older NTLite.
I have removed a number of updates that include...
Update:
I just updated NTLite to latest while I was away for 6 months, I had a mounted (but unloaded) Win7 from previously, I clicked Load but it proceeded to with the progress bar going backward, when it reached 0% explorer.exe got restarted killing all my explorer windows. NLite then loaded...
Oh allright I guess, although I'm still looking for anything it did, I can see a $WINDOWS.~BT folder being created in the system C: drive, I'll check CBS logs and if I don't see anything then I guess it's all fine.
Indeed, I'll test in VM, good idea.
Ugh, I got hit by a terrible bug, when I wanted to quit, I didn't quit the program but I pressed UNLOAD on the TempHostRefresh, and it started the Windows Setup .... loading, I immediately clicked cancel on the Windows Setup dialog but it keep crunching until I think NTLite finished unloadin, it...
Unfortunately, from the looks of it while Host Refresh seems like an awesome feature and I'm sure I'll figure it out and do it, I'll just have to do a clonezilla backup image of my ... oops almost 1TB filled SSD (shouldn't have done it before putting games on) because it seems like Host Refresh...
