    Bugs and Annoyance

This on issues and annoyances encounted when using NTlite. 1. NTlite has bugs relating to simultaneously adding updates to the iso and removing components. Let's put it bluntly. Session 1 just integrates updates. Session 2 integrates updates and removes components. Session 1 is...

    Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 x64 - File system error (-1073741515).

Just to expand on the problem UAC goes throught a process or steps whenever an action requires admin approval. Now what has been said is true, but if get any similar file system error it means NTlite has introduced a disturbance to the UAC process. In my case, a particular NTlite combination...

Advanced NTLiting with Simple Scripts (Protect Files/WinSxS)

Naturally, I won't share my Goldilocks preset. However, I did develop scripts which only real NTLite enthousiasts will appreciate. These are simply the "APIs" that allowed me to customize NTlite to my specifications; some of these just use notepad++. It is mostly for generating and reverse...

Settings don't seem to be applied

Im not sure about scheduled tasks, but the settings in NTlite seems to be linked to autounattend which ntlite creates and i replace with a more customized autounattend that I have saved. It seems linked because the desktop and start menu are not what I picked and when i create a new user, i get...

    One big ask, sandbox compatibility

garlin For critics to be valid, the critic must demonstrate first of all that they understand the whole message not just pieces they "choose" to understand. On this you fail, and thus your critic fails. The most essential part of what I said was "last five presets generate new and unique...

    One big ask, sandbox compatibility

Yes I can provide very precise instructions. 1. Get Rufus 2. Use the Image downloader feature part of Rufus and download 20H2, the December one, English, Education Edition. 3. Mount such image in NTLite, mount Education N, in particular. 4. Load the Lite-Safe99999 preset.. 5. Process it. 6. Put...

    Quality of Life UI Improvements

I mostly agree with you. Although #3 is the user choice, UI improvements are also about convenience. So even if it's a secret setting under the settings.xml that would be appreciated. Apparently I'm blind (my apologize) , completely didn't see the reset button, but it does blend in with the...

    One big ask, sandbox compatibility

What could this big ask be? Something that has plagued almost every nlite user surely. Getting the damn sandbox to work. Any magic is acceptable but must be disguised as “sandbox compatibility” option. Should you choose to undergo this quest I shall provide guidance simply show willingness.

    Quality of Life UI Improvements

Thanks so much for the great software. While Nlitting, I noticed several small UI improvements that would have made everything so much better (9 nlite iterations) I will now list these: 1. Ability to cancel during Esd export. Possible implementation, export in cmd window that user can...

To anyone looking to add custom files to install.wim

You can't overwrite system files with NTLite, DISM or Sysprep. And btw, wimlib is available for windows.

To anyone looking to add custom files to install.wim

Imagex allowed this for Windows 7. Dism has since forbidden it. Trying to use ImageX on Win 10 wim corrupts it. However, there exists linux and wimlib, and together you can modify your install.wim to your hearts content. Happy Modding, 2.16GB Installed Win 10 2019 LTSC X64

Trying to Boot Win 10 1607 LTSC on USB, but multiple failures

Clanger I don't know what your success has been with NTLITE, but I just managed to produce an x64 Windows 10 LTSC 2019 iso without OOBE with updates that installs to just 2.16gb. Best part, should be compatible with all motherboards/CPUs. I'm .

Trying to Boot Win 10 1607 LTSC on USB, but multiple failures

B550 is a newer chipset as Ryzen 5600G is a new cpu. Bios is drastically different. Both are soo new that when saving any bios changes they would fail to post giving the impression of a faulty mobo and or cpu. However, this was quickly proven false when I updated the bios. Pretty happy with...

Trying to Boot Win 10 1607 LTSC on USB, but multiple failures

So here it is, expand your NTLITE knowledge (5 things): 1. The 0x000009a(1) error the older uefi firmware of 1607 doesn't like the newer uefi firmware from my system. If you understand the file structure of the root of the iso, then you'll know that to address that problem you need 2 things...
