The number of activations has been exhausted. How to use NTLite in virtual machine?

There should be answers to this frequently asked question in the forum. Basically, NTLite looks at a machine's identifiers, one which is the MAC of the machine's NIC. So one way to use only one activation on numerous VM's is to clone all your initial VM's, telling the clone tool to keep the same MAC.

and back up your activations on your host too.
nuhi on the Support page - Guides - add Backup NTLite activations to the top of the list. i usually just back the whole folder incase.

i usually have the folders name, NTLite then the version number, for example NTLite_1.9.0.7501. backing them up and burning to dvd is a good idea if you use dvd drives.

Treat virtual machine like a real one, meaning don't change hardware/settings.
Now tricky part is that virtual machines randomize their internal hardware serials even on cloning.
So, prepare VM OS, activate NTLite in it when ready, snapshot that state, now you're safe.
Test and revert when needed. Or just reinstall OS under it, activation will still work, if backed up.

Expect another email regarding exhaustion.

Will activation fail after reinstalling the virtual machine or installing a new version 2004 system in the virtual machine?

No, it is just dependent on the hardware info, OS does not matter.
Same like real machine.
Plus can't move VM to another real machine.
