Possible to remove component without touching registry?

Hi again nuhi I just tested more, and to summarize, removing these 2 files (with registry not being touched) will break normal activation (non KMS): IdentityCRL\production\wlidsvcconfig.xml System32\wlidsvc.dll Removing Microsoft Account component, while preserving those 2 files will still...

Possible to remove component without touching registry?

Thanks nuhi. I need a bit more testing, I narrowed down list of files that shouldn't be removed if you want activation to work. For now I am sure that one of these 2 (or both) shouldn't be removed: %WINDIR%\IdentityCRL\INT\wlidsvcconfig.xml %WINDIR%\IdentityCRL\production\wlidsvcconfig.xml I...

Possible to remove component without touching registry?

I have removed Microsoft Account in 1909, but that prevents activation. Removing files (manually) doesn't break activation, and I see that something in registry is deleted, so that prevents activation (also error suggests that some registry key is missing). Or, to have option to remove custom...

    Some problems removing some components (W10 1809 & 1909)

Sorry for late reply. It is kinda specific, that computer with that image would access internet, and it wouldn't be access over internal network, so no need for firewall and AV.

    Network Share Problem!

I think it is possible to export preset from unpacked iso image, so with that we might be able to see what causes that issue.

I'm missing something, Windows asks what version to install

How did you separate Pro from microsoft media? I do that in NTLite, never had issues.

Does anyone know where to find latest Synaptics Touch Pad software?

I see there's 19.2.17.59 version of this driver (Win7/8/10 x64) which looks to be from 2019. But I am not sure if it is generic driver and would it work for all devices? Do you need it for specific device/laptop?

    Some problems removing some components (W10 1809 & 1909)

I can confirm that removing "Encrypting File System (EFS) - Service" breaks left click start menu and immersive control panel in LTSC (1809). Also removing "Text Services Framework" breaks installation following message: If I remove all that this under "Text Services Framework" (CTFMON etc.)...

Post-Setup - Some commands were not executed

I'm trying to add some commands to Post-Setup section of LTSC, most of commands were executed successfully, but several did not. SetupComplete.cmd looks fine. Setup is unattended and local Administrator account is enabled and used for first login. I have several schtasks commands but these 2...

    Some problems removing some components (W10 1809 & 1909)

It should be easy to add group policy editor to Home version, or use Policy Plus. I am trying to make some extremely lite version (barebone) of Win10, which should be able to run audio and video players, and that is pretty much it. Home x64 1909 could be good edition, since there are less...

Folders still present in WinSxS after component removal

I have to correct myself. I've just run NTLite with Custom cleanup from fresh iso image (with updates integrated), disabled Servicing Stack compatibility, and all those folders (around 4k ) are deleted from WinSxS. install.wim is more than 2 times smaller now. I noticed though that now in...

Folders still present in WinSxS after component removal

AeonX I disabled Servicing Stack compatibility, and new NTLite run with Custom cleanup, it did remove solid number of files, reported around 300MBs of files removed, but still I see adobe flash folder with files inside, as well as folders that belong to drivers I removed. So, not...

AeonX Which edition of 1909 you are using? I see Home edition doesn't have some stuff that Pro and Enterprise have.

Folders still present in WinSxS after component removal

Thanks AeonX I did keep Servicing Stack compatibility enabled. So if I disable it, would then those folders be deleted?

    Customize Win 10 boot logo

Unfortunately, I don't. This is short explanation from HackBGRT page: What I understood, with UEFI boot, if there's no vendor-defined logo (for example Dell, or something similar), bootres.dll will be used. If there's vendor-defined logo, then only option is boot-time change. But even this...
