Start menu crashing Explorer + Language packs not downloading

The language features might not install properly - but it seems the basic language bar is protected with "Text input" coupled possibly with CTF Mon. Edit: still looking for the exact combo

Start menu crashing Explorer + Language packs not downloading

The start menu issue was caused by this missing component: Windows apps > Search (not "Windows Search" from a different section). Features are already protected and I'm still not sure what's causing the language pack problems. I only have hardware/drivers/network sections left to check - could...

Is there any technical documentation available?

I am interested in services vs. components and the mechanism by which they are removed from the WIM - the basis for NTLite? For example: TimeBrokerSvc = Task Scheduler wscsvc = Security Center iphlpsvc = IP Helper Dnscache = DNS Client NcbService = Network Connection Broker LanmanWorkstation =...

    Edge won't connect to Internet

It seems IP Helper is needed in combination with DNS to guarantee websites loading in Edge. Again, this is not the case for other browsers in Windows 10 on ARM.

Edge protected but unable to type in address bar

This one is still on-going, but it's not yet clear what's causing it. It seems that shell search is needed but can't say for sure.

Edge protected but unable to type in address bar

It's something under Network components! But there isn't many things it could be... Am testing Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) next to see if it's that.

Time & Date settings not being saved!

This one strange - not happening on lumia with all it's drivers - only Rpi. Resolved by enabling Windows Time component.

    Edge won't connect to Internet

This seemed to resolve after a couple of restarts - might be something to do with authentication on my home broadband - but don't normally have a problem. More testing needed.

    Edge won't connect to Internet

...but other browsers do! I need to try to find out which component needs to be re-ticked to bring this back?

    OneDrive sync status icons

It's UAC! Seems tied to OneDrive for some reason... https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/95815-no-context-menu-onedrive-directory.html So that's "clear space" and "always keep on this device" sorted - but to "view online" that TWINUI is probably needed in addition to UAC. So NTLite could...

    OneDrive sync status icons

I found out some scripts will knock out the sync status icons - possibly restored by resetting OneDrive - but main thing is to wait for automatic OneDrive update (cloud icon with a line going through it appearing in the system tray) then login before running any service disabling scripts, etc...
