I started to reply to someone. In the process of trimming her quote, I goofed using my tablet. I didn't send the reply. But I don't see a way to Cancel what I started to write. Consequently, every time I try to start a new reply, my old goofed up text shows in the message box.
Tnx. I can't tell from the article if this shutdown includes the EPG for OTA TV.
Guess I'll know in two weeks.
(I was thinking the other day how nice it is that someone keeps updating the Guide.)
I tried coreprio.exe for grins. But since I don't have a dual die CPU that's constrained by memory channels, made no difference on my old X4 AMD. (On Win7 anyway, which is where I'm currently booted. (As for unparking cores n Win8.1, I'm using CoreParkManager to keep all the cores unparked...
FWIW, I updated my AMD RAID driver to Fernando's latest. While it worked, I can't see any big difference in CrystalMark scores between his and the last official AMD version.
First I've ever heard of Fernando's RAID drivers. I'm making a backup of my array now. What can I expect when I update to his AMD RAID driver? (Which is almost as old as AMD's last, but one year newer.)
Yep. I found Tablet PC and a few other things needed for Win8.1 to work correctly. (Link is to an earlier post of mine here in the another discussion Topic.)
@saalem Thanks for your list.
I looked at it and saw the nine separate runs to integrate KB's.
That's a lot of work. Is it really necessary?
I haven't looked exhaustively at your list yet. But I have done 107 updates at once for Win8.1 - most from NTLite's download feature. Including the SSU...
That's my recollection from last year too.
Well, apparently there was a failure somewhere in the email chain. (I confirmed that I had given the company the correct email address.)
Interesting link.
Well, I'm not mapping any HW (that I know of) in VBox.
Maybe if I select 3D Acceleration it would grab my nVidia GPU automatically?
Funny thing is that the AMD installer saw that I had a hole in Windows there, and installed IOMMU to fill the hole.
Well, not a problem. It's...
My BIOS is a bit confusing (to me) about IOMMU. It offers two choices - default and 64MB.
After learing that IOMMU is supposed to help VM performance, I changed my BIOS setting to 64MB.
I can't tell any difference. Windows never complained that I didn't have the driver. And VBox doesn't seem...
Tnx. Nothing in the spam folder of my friend's account.
Maybe I mistyped my friend's email address while placing the order. (Twice?)
(I should have printed out the confirmation screen. Hopefully some hackers haven't gotten to the AvGate server.)
So, I haven't gotten an email receipt/activation code from AvGate yet for continuing my subscription.
Is that because you have to verify with them that I'm an existing user?
Okay, I see. It only installs the video driver (and Physx), not nVidia control panel and an nVidia container.
I don't need Physx. So I hope the tool eventually for deselecting that.
