Best to try and see if this happens without any NTLITE modifications. If it still happens without them then the issue is something else. This is the main reason I enjoy doing things live with backups just in case I mess up so I can test. Somethings don't show there ugly head till later so...

My guess is the reason why wallpaper and icons are included in protected windows files is it prevent troll malware from changing it to something unsavory or an invisible cursor haha

Do you mean the extended options list when right clicking instead of having the short list and having to click more options?

You have removed a lot of or possibly most of the store from your system looking at your XML. This will cause a lot of issues with store apps. Does your store even work still? A wise thing to do and I have learned is to backup before changing anything so that you can go back if you ended up...

Does the reg disable still work? Heard it still runs in the background with it disabled. I was worried purging this was what caused me issues in my past. That was why I left it well alone

No not removed with defender or security center. Mine is still running and showing up in NTLITE.

I was thinking the exact thing and plan on doing some reg settings tweaks. I have turned off DEP but have not checked the rest of these little ones yet. Could be interesting or could be a waste of clicks. Later on today after kiddo is pooped out I will take a look. Would like to say this...

I don't care about security center at all so it has never been a big issue for me. I don't need it telling me I messed up when I already know I did and I get enough of that from the wife I did a DEP on and off post on another forum before and yes it doesn't need defender. In the post it showed...
