Same, I've got 2 of their corsair commander fan controllers in my system and a Razor Keyboard I would love to ditch the ecosystem. >.> they each add so many processes....
They are as follows -s -noreboot -clean
-s = Silent Install (this includes the Geforce experience which no one wants)...
Wow learn something new everyday.
I do game and I do have a fast computer but that's not the point. I hate having all this unnecessary junk shoved in my face. I'm not looking for an ecosystem (I spray those with liberal amounts of bleach when I find one those growing somewhere) I just want the...
True about losing data if you try to apply say a windows 7 preset to a windows 10 build I can definitely see that being a thing. I'll circle back to that later.
I was more thinking of a preset to preset comparison tool built in. Trying to make the apples to apples comparison of the presets...
Garlin is indeed correct. the general wisdom is that the less you remove the more stable the system and the more you remove the more likely you'd encounter some unexpected behavior or something completely unrelated simply won't work. I'll get into the why in the next part.
Why: Windows like...
NTlite is still always going to be a hell of a lot more knowledgeable on what the values of the XML presets mean than Me and my text editor are going to be. If the values of the Xml are different between versions that's even more reason to have NTlite handle it as long as NTlite is able to read...
Issue: When making an experiment with ISO's its not uncommon to end up with 100's of presets at various levels of completion.
it would be nice to have some better tools to deal with this built into Ntlite.
1) A compare function, that does a side by side comparison and highlights the...
You were correct, /S will work as a silent installer switch.
However there are at least 2 versions of this software
Version 1 = Same version number or older Has the unwanted bloatware toolbar etc.
Version 2 = Same version number, has the bloatware removed. The link you provided is for the...
Update: sorry it's been so long. I was successful at getting windows 7 fully operational, using the testing image I was working with. I managed to find drivers for everything except the WIFI, the 10GB ethernet, (I'll be phoning the manufacturer to see if there is any way of getting it working)...
anyone know where that topic with the back ported windows 8.1 driver for TPM was ? I'm still not able to find it, I wanna try messing with it just to rule that out.
Yeah the program went to sh*t around that time. I thought it was more of an issue of not cleaning up or telemetry I stopped being interested in the new versions since they didn't add features I wanted
Update
I spoke to asus directly and this is what they told me.
1) Compatibility BIOS is not really "compatible" with older hardware expected by the Windows 7 "Hardware Abstraction Layer" (HAL).
2) Windows 7 does NOT support TPM 2.0, which this board uses to encrypt and verify "ALL" onboard...
Update: There seems to be some kind of virtualization going on when the windows 7 is installed in Uefi mode, windows 7 runs sort of but things don't work as expected. a known good video card and driver and operating system combination doesn't work. the video card and several other drivers crash...
That's exactly how I feel the program should react to detecting an existing installation and I think it would be nice if it did. I initially thought it was a bug that it didn't behave that way. I am a native English speaker but you were able to explain it far better than I did. Thanks for...
Ultimately it's your software product so it's totally your call. I did encounter an issue where the software updater didn't update the correct instance of Ntlite because there was a registry key for an installed version in another location so the update from within the application itself didn't...
Most applications from portable apps behave this way in that they confirm the upgrade and installation path, same is true of many games if you reinstall them over top of an existing installation. prompting the user is the way it should be done even if it often isn't the case.
what if you wish to...
Confirmed X570 Chipset drivers are available (for now) from AMD directly under the X470 selection. working on other drivers for 10gb Ethernet, usb etc.
Update, SDI snappy Driver installer found most of the drivers. Still missing the ones for both Ethernet Ports...
