Windows 10 2004-21H2 - Optimize Gaming/Poweruser/Runtime Profile, retaining maximum compatibility. For x64/UEFI systems.

NTLite is not a magic switch that any user can just flip and instantly make windows faster. It's a tool which allows you to remove whatever you don't need. This requires you to know ahead of time what you want to remove. "Maximum compatibility" just means removing nothing.

How To - NTLite Download Updates Feature

I've never used this before because M$'s auto updates are too convenient. Can NTLite download and apply updates automatically according to specific rules?

Can't open Discord links in NTLited Windows

Hi, whenever I click on a URL in Discord (or right-click => Open Link) nothing happens. I have to manually cut and paste them into my browser. Any idea why?

Remove Microsoft Edge from the Start Menu?

Thanks, I tried that but it persisted... It's ok though I found the "NoStartMenuMorePrograms" registry hack and I got rid of it that way.

Remove Microsoft Edge from the Start Menu?

How do I remove the Microsoft Edge entry from the start menu? I already removed the application with NTLite so clicking it doesn't do anything. Is there an associated registry key perhaps?

    USB disks not mounting/unmounting correctly

I'm not asking you to solve this immediately, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some sort of response. Even if it's just "Thanks, working on it" or even "I'm busy right now but I'll look into it next week". It takes just 30 seconds to type that out but it makes your customer feel...

    Driver Updating issue

Oh ok, thanks! It might be a good idea to add that explanation to NTLite. "Include drivers with Windows Updates" and "Update device drivers" sound like they're saying the exact same thing in English, like "Include butter with toast" and "Butter the toast". :p

    USB disks not mounting/unmounting correctly

OK, weird removable drives problem... Whenever I insert a USB drive, if it's the FIRST usb drive I've inserted since powering on, it will show up in windows explorer. However, when I remove it, it still shows up as mounted in windows explorer. If I try to access it I get the following message...

    Driver Updating issue

Ok, so how are the cumulative update packaged drivers from "Include drivers with Windows Updates" different from the drivers included in "Update device drivers"? Are the ones from "Include drivers with Windows Updates" generic drivers, while the "Update device drivers" drivers are host-machine...

    Windows Hello Face

OK, I think it's partly working, and partly broken. Right after install, all the optional features are listed as "uninstall succeeded [installation date]". So, at first, the optional features are gone. However, some optional features (in this case English typing and English OCR) are still...

    Driver Updating issue

Update: I just tried making an ISO with that last option: "Update drivers" and "Include drivers" enabled, but "Automatically update device drivers and icons over the internet" set to Disabled. It still included all the driver GUIs and metro Apps...
