2.2.8152 compress WIM to ESD, low memory left

cpu stuck for 10mins
after 10 min the display shows washed up picture
had to reboot

cos even when using dism it getting stuck

With 2.1.2.8074 I don't have this problem. I didn't update because I didn't see anything interesting in the new versions and always a new problem appears :p for me version 2.1.2.8074 is the most stable so far.
 
Compression for ESD is done using wimlib and NTLite 2.1.2.8074 uses wimlib 1.13.4 which is the latest version. Are you using Windows 11? Maybe a wimlib issue with Win11?
 
wimlib 1.13.4 is the last stable release but i saw it has a newer but beta version. But you can try.

Download the file wimlib-1.13.5-BETA1-windows-x86_64-bin.zip (or wimlib-1.13.5-BETA1-windows-i686-bin.zip if using NTLite x86) and copy the file libwim-15.dll to NTLite\Tools\wimlib\x64
 
I had to update to 2.2.0.8160 because of 21H2 (it was detecting some dependencies wrongly).

I now converted to esd with no problems. Using 21H1 Pro.
