Happened after fresh install, I was at windowsupdate page, checked for updates it started to download some and then installed them, I went to kitchen to eat, so that page was open nearly 20 minutes on idle.. I came back screen was not locked, so I did alt+f4 to close that page , then i got this error.

I think others got the same error before. and i think i got this error when win11 first out too. used latest win11 and latest ntlite. so this bug was always here? edit: also here

EAS is for syncing mail from Exchange servers (or compatible cloud services).
App Guard is the VM sandboxing for Edge apps (WDAG).

Even if he broke that compatibility (not critical unless you need Office 365), it doesn't create errors on other features.

Looking at SystemSettings memory errors in Google, sfc /scannow is worth a try.
If that does fix the problem, we need to save Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log and see what was repaired.

its not just systemsettings errors tho isnt it. it happens on other exe's too i experienced on rocketleague.exe

sfc scannow is not an option for a edited windows. no point to scan since its not vanilla.

Today i downloaded and installed an old game. its called origin online https://playorigin.com/download.html

i launch launcher and i just do ALT+F4. then it gives error every time. so i can %100 reproduce it now. and its my 3rd error. one was at systemsettings. other rocketleague and now this. i bet i can reproduce in any exe that lets me do alt+f4. nuhi people get it from shared experiences but my preset doesnt remove it. and now there is a way to reproduce it.

I wanted to check that Origin Online in my Win10 VM to see/hear any weird behavior but unfortunately that thing wont run within VM (Error: "This program cannot be run under virtual environments"). I've tried few ways google provided but none worked. I won't spend more time on this VM-incompatibility thing.

Do you have something else on which you can replicate the weird "sound" ? I just want to cross-check this on the Win10. Thanks!

Yeah just run the launcher and alt+f4 it. I tested that game even on vanilla, when you exit that sound also comes. so sound is irrevelant. that component "problem reports and solutions control panel" is the only problem for me on any exe. and Shared Experiences removal causes same problem for you and other people at display part of systemsettings... i hope nuhi can take a look at them both

I was having it enabled for years. for no reason i started removing it and this error started. i should have known.....

I am getting something similar but not using alt-f4. When I install Firefox at the end of installation I get this error.
FF1.jpgFF2.jpg

After I click OK, everything is fine, FF runs normally, closes normally with alt+f4.
And yeah, I removed both 'Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support' and 'Shared Experiences', LTSC 2021.

Not having issues with systemsettings.exe and Control Panel 'Display'.

garson In W10 or W11? I just tried to install FF and no such error (Tested in Win10 Pro 21H2 VM which still has "Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support" removed)

edit: checked garson s preset, its about same component, 'Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support'

for nuhi, Shared Experiences may not be creating problems on W10 since garson can access control panel display part in systemsettings on w10 ltsc

- have you ran any kind of RAM and CPU tests on that machine to rule out the possibility of instability?
Don't take this lightly, it is important to test stability, I had weird things when playing with overclocking or tampering the CPU voltage, or the CPU itself was on its way out.
This plus that other Fifa report of yours are quite unique and unexpected - unless there is an underlying problem to the machine itself.

- if limiting Pagefile size, try Automatic (in System Properties) instead. I noticed a year or so I must have gave too little of a Max size for the virtual memory and it would fill up and give all kinds of seemingly random issues.

- I remove Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support and host refresh and update Windows, no issues like that.
It can get close to weirdness if not Removing Reinstalls after updating the OS, but I presume you did that.
If not, run it when seeing these issues after Windows updates the OS and reboots - Source - Tools - Remove Reinstalls

- Sometimes Windows refresh, or inplace upgrades, can destabilize modern apps, like Settings. In those cases I haven't found a solution other than reinstalling clean - but that was very rare after going something like Full -> Lite -> update, clean, remove extra -> remove less etc, in short a mixed migration without a clean reinstall. The worst was upgrading the OS from Win10 to 11 without clean reinstall.

-i did not overclock my configuration or did not change any specific settings from bios or GPU CPU softwares. + i run stress test on cpu and gpu. also memtest via booting from ram. all checked fine.

-fifa error is at my other laptop, this laptop also had same issue. (maybe because or my 3rd party apps not a big deal i'm not looking for fix on this one, i know this is a long shot and probably not about ntlite edits) just dumb luck it doesnt happen on vanilla

-i'm not limiting pagefile its at automatic.

-i think you cannot replicate it via hostrefresh. try with VM to replicate. or i can shoot a video from ntlite editing to vm setup and error (start to end for you.)

-i don't get any systemsettings.exe/display specific errors. i only had systemsettings.exe error like rocketleague.exe or originlauncher.exe etc. some other people i think more than 2 had systemsettings.exe/display issue. so these errors are NOT specific to me. and i do not do windows refresh since u can see my preset its removed.

also as i said i can shoot a video for you. but its clearly and easly can be replicated on fresh install with VM

Edit1: btw thanks for reply, i will shoot you a speeded up video, pls wait for it

Edit2: nuhi here it is from start to end speeded up. 30-40mb video https://dosya.co/oz6bje6jitim/Test.mp4.html

The windows11 used in this video is downloaded from uupdump (win11 22000.376 turkish home x64)
The game is called origin online from here: https://playorigin.com/download.html
The game doesnt run on VM's (it detects VMBox Guest software) so i put the installed game in a iso file, and launched game from there to transfer game to VM. this way launcher works. game still wont launch since it will detect its on VM but we only need launcher to run to see the error.
Also this error can be replicated with rocketleague or systemsettings etc if you are lucky enough. but with origin online's launcher you can %100 replicate it. sorry its 1.7gb game to download and test don't have better way to replicate it.

preset is attached on previous posts but you don't need it its
'Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel Support'

OK, thanks, it's important if you can reliably replicate it, it's just matter of details for me to do the same.

Will get the Turkish ISO and retry today, stay put.

idk if its because turkish iso but. removing that component triggers it for me. as i showed i can replicate with %100 success rate on that specific game. and about others it might take couple of tries (i mean rocketleague or systemsettings and maybe more that i don't know)

OK, unfortunately I ran out of time for today, had some firewall issues, it was blocking uupdump among other things.
It's a national holiday anyway, so there you have 2 excuses :)
Continuing tomorrow, thanks for your feedback.

OK, so I have used your preset and VirtualBox and Turkish ISO, it works fine, attached screenshot after the launcher update.

/cut the rest, seems not important for the viewer
