Can I replace shell32.dll and imageres.dll of my mounted image without encountering any errors? I have a modified shell32.dll and a modified imageres.dll (I changed some icons)

There are several conditions related to replacing Windows icon DLL's, which are unrelated to NTLite. But yes, it's possible to copy your files to the mounted image.

1. For later W10/11 releases, you need to also update \Windows\SystemResources\shell32.dll.mun & imageres.dll.mun.
2. There's a chance that Windows Update will replace either DLL in the future, due to normal patching.
3. "sfc /scannow" repair will overwrite your DLL, because the original source file in WinSxS hasn't been overwritten. Keep that in mind.

Yes, make sure to use the NTLite v2024+ (currently in beta).
Add the file to the Post-setup page, Before Logon section.
Change destination path after insertion, and switch to Image mode on the right combo box.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, I'll try this.
