Cannot boot after installing Windows 10 1903 (NTLite v1.8.0.6790)

Context: I grabbed a Windows 10 ISO (Ver. 1903) and started removing components. So far so good.

The problem appears right after the first reboot after installation. It doesn't start and I can't choose the system either because there is nothing to choose, it's totally blank (the recovery options don't work either).

The problem is not in my PC, the unmodified ISO works perfectly, and neither is the pendrive itself, it is formatted in ExFat (which works perfectly for BIOS and UEFI).

Borked, as 'choose an OS' should have options, you have none.

Leave the ISO alone, or just remove what you know is safe. MS are very clever at tying things in with other things now, so you really don't know what will break what? ;)

Install and just disable/uninstall what you don't require afterwards with the ethernet unplugged, set everything to how you want, with the drivers and such that you wish to use, providing you downloaded them first ;)

Use Macrium to make a full backup after doing so, then it will be much less painful from then on. :) Restore takes seconds.

Connect online, and pray!, but worry not a jot, as you have that image backup don't you?

I install Nvidia drivers regularly, and if I don't like them, I just restore my OS image, which leaves system free of pollution from that very install, and we are back to square one, which is much quicker than uninstalling/reinstalling/configuring said drivers etc., to give such an example ;)

Of course, keeping the 'C' system drive separate from all the rest is a must, on its own drive, or partitioned, as this will make it far easier to just backup and restore, and take less time, whilst not touching anything else on your system, so one can carry on from where they left off in an instant, just refrain from letting apps install on said drive, or you may have a 'minor' headache.

1- Disabling features or services is not profitable for me, mainly because most of them can not be disabled as such (Like Windows Defender still using resources). And because the difference in performance is small compared to removing them permanently (I have done it before and I know it can work).

2- I also followed NTLite's "official" guide to create the most compact W10 possible without breaking it in the process (https://www.ntlite.com/tutorial-for-creating-and-testing-a-700mb-windows-10-iso/); I meticulously checked that everything listed was still intact, and also added the components that I am interested in. And it still doesn't work.

Thanks for trying to help.

Attach your preset created by editing. But don't include any personal details you don't want people to read.

The guide you followed butchers the OS. It is designed to create the smallest ISO possible, and does not factor the latest crap added by MS to both Windows 10, nor 11. Things break things, unfortunately, and as much as I despise Windows Defender etc., removing them completely, just breaks the OS. You will gain nothing performance wise by removing Defender, it's an annoyance, yup, like most of the sh*t in these times, but just disable it when installed?, or use one of the many tools out there to silence it after install.

Even if you do, best not let the system update, as all that hard work will be undone ;) You can't win. MS have made sure of that if you choose Windows as an OS?

Backup, and have a decent working copy always, which is good practice anyway ;)

1- Windows Defender does NOT break W10 (At least Ver. 1903), I have removed it before and it has worked as if nothing (This is not the first time I have modified an ISO).

2- I come back and repeat, ¨The performance difference is small compared to remove them permanently¨ Defender consumes about 120MB even if it is ¨disabled¨.

3- So the guide is old, that should explain why it doesn't work with newer versions, like the one I'm using.

First off, you're using an obsolete version of NTLite. If you can't upgrade, then we all know the reason.

Restore this component:
<c>cdpsvc 'Connected Devices Platform Service'</c>

Please upgrade to a current NTLite release, as the software has changed many features since v1.8.0.6790 (Mar 2019).

120Mb? lol, so, lets say you have only 4Gb RAM?, lol, see where I'm going with this?
That's just Windows Defender, add all the other crap and the amount of resources I managed to remove above adds up to 700MB in total (Windows consumes 2GB at idle, after modifying it it consumes 1.3GB only). And yes, I only have 4 GB.

Add to that having integrated graphics that, to top it off, also uses RAM (and there I don't dare to remove resources).

Buy 8Gb then?, cheap enough, hell I have 2 x 8Gb sticks here if you want them?
3rd world problems, it's more complicated than it looks.

Ex: Search ¨Mercadolibre Venezuela¨ in google and then search ¨8GB of RAM.¨ 40 bucks for single old stick, thats bullshit.
And yes, theres Amazon or Ebay, But what about the customs house, shipping, and the damn taxes? probably +70 bucks, bruh

It is simply MUCH easier and MUCH more cost effective to edit Windows so that it doesn't f**k with my patience.
