I am having this error with my NTLite ISO. When I try to use it in a VM to test, I get this error:

It really frustrates me that I am having this error. I have searched multiple sites and forums, but they didn't help at all.
I hope anyone can help me.

Did you keep something in the mount directory open when the image is saving? Or can you tell me which components you've removed from your image?

I would try reloading your saved ISO into NTLite to check if the install image is corrupted. This might be a bad write to USB.

I have added files to the public desktop folder, and the only important component I removed was Windows Defender. But I still removed the Notepad (System) update, the Notepad component, Steprecorder and some other unmiportant components.

That message seems clear, please retry from a fresh ISO, and make sure that ISO HASH is correct to begin with.
Also make sure the Menu - Settings - Verify image file is enabled.

Suspend any antiviruses/defenders while processing the image, just in case.

If it fails again, try the same ISO pre-edit in the same machine.

One last question how would I add folders and files to my ISO into the public documents folder or make it that its on the desktop of every new user.

When your image is loaded, Explore the mounted folder and copy to "\Users\Public\Public Desktop".
