I have added files to the public desktop folder, and the only important component I removed was Windows Defender. But I still removed the Notepad (System) update, the Notepad component, Steprecorder and some other unmiportant components.Did you keep something in the mount directory open when the image is saving? Or can you tell me which components you've removed from your image?
What should I check because the created ISO loaded correctlyI would try reloading your saved ISO into NTLite to check if the install image is corrupted. This might be a bad write to USB.
I am using Virtualbox by the way.Use a VM? load the iso onto a VM, if it loads ok then the usb creator is likely the cause.
What do you mean by that? If you mean what BIOS type do you have, I have UEFI in my VM.Are you matching what's expected for UEFI or MBR boot in VirtualBox?
