Creating a Windows 11 LTSC (kinda)

Hi

I was wondering after selecting the Gaming and Privacy presets, what is needed to remove the store? I thought I had it removed but after windows updated before the first boot and it was on there.

I would use the Lite preset but things like network discovery were not working. I basically want to make a Windows 11 LTSC, no bloat, no store, more privacy.

Any tips?

try try again till you got your needs done via ntlite.
in last you will love to use NTLITE for creating custom windows image according to your needs.
but will take time . do your research more n more .
Best Wishes from my Side :)

Fair warning, removing Xbox and/or the Store seems to cause problems for people as a general rule of thumb. I don't like either of these apps either, but some stuff is baked into the OS in too many places and you will experience enough bugs and erorrs in removing these two items (if you are gaming--I assume so since you used the gaming preset) that it's just not worth it. Instead use this registry key and integrate it into your image and/or install it now to disable store automatic updates at least:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsStore\WindowsUpdate]
"AutoDownload"=dword:00000002

GPO if you want that too:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore]
"AutoDownload"=dword:00000002

It performs the same function as going into the Store app and manually turning off the updates in the settings page.

You can certainly go forward and there's guys here that can help if you want to gut the store though, I just haven't bothered myself since it's not worth it for me, and perhaps you might feel the same if you play games.

Removing Store/no Store has proved to be a hinderance for many people and they keep it/add its package to ltsc then update.
Only reason i can think of for keeping it or adding it is for graphics control panels.

NTLite can now integrate most UWP apps, including NVIDIA's Control Panel.

If you know the app's product name or ID, it can be downloaded from store.rg-adguard.net. The Store app isn't required, unless you're purchasing paid apps or want a simplified way to auto-update current apps.

And if you dont know the apps name? would like to get the intel control panel too.
Ive gone to store.rg-adguard.net, it neither does a full app list or allow a search term like "nvidia".
I cant even download the darn thing at Store proper, get a link or even package name.

Product ID's are part of every app's Store URL.

Intel Graphics Command Center -> http://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9PLFNLNT3G5G
NVIDIA Control Panel -> 9NF8H0H7WMLT

Plugging 9PLFNLNT3G5G into store.rg-adguard.net -> AppUp.IntelGraphicsExperience_1.100.3408.0_neutral_~_8j3eq9eme6ctt.appxbundle

"Neutral" architecture includes both x86 & x64 packages, and never download the .eappxbundle (encrypted) versions.
Grab the highest versioned copy of each of the listed pre-requisites, and download them too.

Rename download files to their displayed names, and load everything into NTLite as updates.

When i go to Store proper, i tap the blue button and zip zilch squat kadingus nada, i cant even right click "save link as".
How the dink is someone new to store and apps cobblers supposed to download the darn thing from ms when ms wont let you and adguard needs to know the apps name when you dont know the apps name? you got to rely on the kindness of others helping you out. i mean cmon, it aint nuclear secrets we are after for crying out loud :mad: :mad::mad::mad:

Plugging 9PLFNLNT3G5G into store.rg-adguard.net -> AppUp.IntelGraphicsExperience_1.100.3408.0_neutral_~_8j3eq9eme6ctt.appxbundle
If i enter 9PLFNLNT3G5G to any of the 4 options in the left hand drop down menu i get nothing.
Enter AppUp.IntelGraphicsExperience_1.100.3408.0_neutral_~_8j3eq9eme6ctt.appxbundle i get nothing.

Im not going mad, having a brain fart or a senior moment.
What browser did you use? Ive never used adguard before, didnt search for "how to's".

Whenever i hit the

i get nothing, not even a right click "save as" etc no matter which app page im on.

Using the 2 links you kindly posted i have now savvied that all i gotta do is enter the page url on adguard, select channel, ie retail and BOOM

I expect someone will write a GUI-based tool to make this easy.
Something akin to Heidocs windows iso downloader, i dont use it much but i found it very easy to use to grab model specific dell iso's :)
