Cumulative update cache

Hi
Does anybody know what happens when that cache is removed? I guess it has something to do with the new update space coming in W10 1903, but what consequences does it have when removed. Does the space and its function gets deleted and, well, what happens?

Hi,

two are not related, the "Cumulative update cache" component has its description, it should be needed only when switching Windows branches, to reapply the latest CU, and not need to redownload it.
If anyone has better information, I'm all eyes.

As for 1903 reserved space ("storage" actually), you can only disable it before install at this point, there is a separate Setting/tweak for that "Reserved storage".

Nuhi

Thanks for the clarification.
So for me who is a basic Pc user and do not switch branches it must be safe to delete that item?!

Yes, with a notion that it's not really 100% known if there are other utilization for it.

What do you mean with branches? So, is it possible to disable Reserved space? And what about the 500 MB system reserved partition?
