Hello

I have a quick question about the space used
I have formatted a disk (SSD) and there is already 169MB of used space

This is the files in System Volume Information (even if it indicates 0kb) ?

Thanks

Do you have system restore enabled because thats where it stores its restore points. Empty recycle bin. Its prolly the the file system using those mb but im no expert.

No, system restore is removed with NTLite

Just after formatting

Just plugged in a clean new 500gb ssd, quick format, disabled indexing, im showing 158mb used, so its either the os file system or the ssd using it for something, either way it looks ok., nothing to worry about. :) The 931gb is right for a 1tb drive after formatting too.

Yes, but if it's related to the system restore, that I deleted
If this directory could be deleted and this unused space :)

Thanks

Ive got SR disabled so its not that, you wont be able to delete that folder.

Im more pissed about the missing 69gb  but thats a bitch for another day.

Nothing to worry about, while bigger the drive, bigger the space used, this also can be seen in 2 GB/Go drives.
If i'm not wrong, that is the reserved space for the partition table information, can't really remember.

Yes I think it's directories starting with $, which are not visible

Exactly, the MFT (table) and the log, more info here about the chkdsk output.
