Domain join error

Hello... I was trying to use ntlite, but I have a problem... I downloaded an original Windows 10 iso, the latest version, when I create the iso using ntlite, when I try to put the computer in the domain I get the relationship failure error of trust between this workstation and the primary domain... even without changing anything in Windows I receive this failure, but when I use the original iso I enter the domain without error... does anyone have any idea what it could be? I use the free version of the software... could it be a software error? Or do I need to do some configuration that I don't know? thanks.

Hello,

are we comparing automatic domain join to the manual one?
If so, NTLite's unattended network join feature is an implementation of standard Windows unattended entries with more info here.

There are two options:

- Unsecured
When you don't want to use the username and password to join a user, but want to add his machine to the domain.
Created a computer account in the server active directory, reset the account.
Then in Unsecured Join - Machine Password entered computer name in lowercase (first 15 characters are what you need max). That is how Windows does it to find a computer account to tie it with.
Then the computer would be domain joined after install and I could login with a active directory user.

- Secured
When you have a username and password for the domain joined account.
Tool will also warn during secured join:
"Make sure to allow this user on the server active directory to 'Join a computer to the domain', and you must specify a computer name on the Unattended page. Computer name can also be randomly generated, more info in the Computer Name option description."

Let me know how it goes.

Check DNS. Remove this PC from the domain, then add it back. Now try reinstalling.

NTLite doesn't disturb any AD functions unless you've removed components for AD or OOBE, or enabled Unattended mode without adding the proper credentials.

Hello friend... I'm going to remove it from the ad and try again... is there a way to change the dns in ktlite? Can you tell me where I'm going because I didn't find this option... I could try setting an IP address to see if it would work too... I tried with the autonomous option turned off. I'm going to do an iso with the standalone turned on, but the computer is slow here... as soon as I test more I'll let you know! Thank you very much for your attention!

If you're using DHCP, it should be passing the correct DNS.

DNS settings are assigned to each network interface. While you can try adding a command line in Post-Setup, this requires you to know the interface's display name "Ethernet0", etc. Look at the domain join options, and figure what's correct in your environment.

Hello... how are you friend? I managed to discover the problem. It was the Windows version. I tried with an iso from last year and it worked. They must have added some update to this latest version of the iso which was giving an error when entering the domain. with a 22h2 iso downloaded in 2023 I managed to enter the domain.
Thank you for your attention and help!!! Thank you very very much!
