Hello,
since today I get a Error 5 moving a file when starting NTLite Home.
Reinstall does not help.
Does anybody know a solution?

Hello,

do you have a preset demonstrating that?
And please attach the log %temp%\ntlite.log at that moment.

Sorry for the long absent.
It seems that ESET Internet Security was to blame for it.
As soon as I disabled HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention System) the error was gone.
Funny fact: After enabling HIPS again, strangely enough, everything worked

Thanks for the info, please let me know if you see a pattern how to fully replicate it, I would like to test it myself and see if possible to avoid.

What I know so far is, that NTLite was not able to move a file in the %temp% folder.
The name was something like ntlite.update.exe.
After HIPS was disabled, NTLite worked without an error message and ntlite.update.exe disappeared,

Not to necro this thread, but I was having the same issue. I wound up moving the NTLite temp directory location and the Scratch directory location to their own separate directories ( in my case, to E:\NTLite temp and E:\NTLite scratch ). This enables NTLite to function without throwing any errors, even when Eset HIPS is enabled.

You are a Genius!
Thank you very much for your help, your suggestion worked perfectly!
