Version 8044.
ISO production + VM installation.
Autosave loaded (personal settings).
ISO obtained with the 7919 everything ok.
ISO obtained with 8044 the ntlite.log file has the errors attached and at the first start (post login) it reports the error as per the attached screenshot.

The versions were both obtained from scratch with the same settings (autosave + autounattend).

Am I wrong something or...

Thank you

Without the exact preset, impossible to guess.
That error is usually tied to language/input processing removals, could be that it needs adjustment for Italian version.
But I need your preset to make sure.
You can PM me, or attach here if no private info in it.

Thanks.

No problem. There he is.
I have seen other errors (language) always on the LOG (error2log.txt, attached).

PS: If you want / you can, if you send me the file with the translations (the complete ... I think in English) I will compare it and see what is missing...

It's the disabling of the "Background Tasks Infrastructure Service" BrokerInfrastructure service.
Will lock it behind the protections in the next update.

Let me know if you see differently.

Thanks.

Regarding the Italian translation for the tool.
What I would suggest is to first contact the current author regarding the template update, email info in File - Settings
And if he is not interested in maintaining it, I would appreciate your help.

If you don't want to be bothered sending that email, let me know, I'll send something roughly explaining what you told me.

I have already tested and added the missing entries on my (local) Italian.xml and beyond the error I previously communicated, there are no more translation errors to log.
Anyway, I'll send you the updated file then ... we can always talk about it ... tranq.

When is the correct version? Thanks again

Thanks for the language update.

Correct version for what?
It's you who disabled that service, just don't do it. I'll add it to lock people from doing it in the future, but it's a normal Windows limitation.
You can test it manually with Regedit on live install to confirm.

I disabled that service "Background Tasks Infrastructure Service" before... but ok it will change the setting and let you know.

I intended you to change that setting to a new version but that's okay, tranq

PS: the missing entries on italian.xml were different ... (comparing them you will find out).

I'm sorry to tell you that even if you don't modify that service, set up the compaction of the editions and the preparation of the ISO, during the first start-up the system is always waiting for the first login.
Could it be that with the latest versions something has changed during the preparation/modification phase of the WIM final or a problem related to the latest online updates included in NTLITE?

If I force the PC to be turned off and on again apparently, however, everything then works (News and interest first appears and then disappears as if the batch was started a posteriori and not in the ISO preparation phase, in which case all the previous configurations would be almost useless.

Thank you

I have completely excluded the insertion of all Windows Update updates (= no updates).
The problem remains: probably the setup of "install.wim" is not completed successfully and this disables the reboot (= first automatic login after installation KO).
By brutally forcing the shutdown/restart of the PC, the OS works regularly.
Nuhi... I believe 8044 needs a look from you ...

Repeated test with old version 7917.
Same autosave and same settings (subject to the relative differences, with the 7917, to the lack of Meet Now, News and interests, etc.).

The final ISO image completes the installation and the first login regularly.

I repeat that the error is in the predisposition, with the 8047, of the iso fina (install.wim ???).

Thank you

Even with the 8047 same problem.

During the installation of the S.O. win 21h1 optimized with NTLITE 8047 (ISO), the PC does not "complete" at the first Login screen.
The PC must be brutal shut down after which the S.O. installed works regularly.

The error probably appears in the WIM export phase.

The topic at first was about the Sihost error in your screenshot.
What are we talking about now, does "waiting for the first login" still means having the Sihost error popup even with keeping the Background Tasks Infrastructure service running?

In the meantime I'll run the test, will assume the error is obvious.

Btw your new preset is not identical to the original, but either way continuing with the test.

There are two post-setup commands:
91.0.864.59_MicrosoftEdgeEnterpriseX64.msi /qn
edgeupdate_DISABLED.cmd /S

Make sure the second one is actually working, are you sure that the CMD file is not stopping and needs that /S switch?

Run it from command line after setup to see for yourself is silently passes, both of these.
If not, there is your explanation.
You can also move them to user post-setup box to have more visibility and allow user to logon first.

The local user creation is skipped with the Unattended settings, how do you create the user then?
Either change the "Skip local account setup" to false, or Add local account from the unattended toolbar.

Let me know if these points helped. Once you have a working setup, feel free to confirm that service for sihost cause.

It works perfectly and /S is there.

With 7917 the installation ends at the first login.
With the 8044/47 it remains on hold. As I wrote I believe that the settings produce an error when exporting WIM. Turning off the PC in brutal force (while the installation remains blocked) and then restarting the PC, the installation system works perfectly.

The preset has changed because I followed your instruction regarding "Background Tasks Infrastructure Service"

That service was not the only difference, doesn't matter if it's still the same result on your side.

Please reply to this question.
The point is am I to consider the sihost popup solved from this topic, and now the remaining issue looks different with the service kept?

Can you upload the test ISO for me, pre-edit, on which if I am to load your preset it would demonstrate the issue, or I can simply download Italian Win10 from Microsoft?
Did you try not adding post-setup? So I know to get those files from you to test here, or it is the same without those.

Thanks.

IN THE PRESET I REMOVED the change to the Infrastructure service of the Background Tasks Infrastructure service running.

Attached is the preset and autounattend - I removed (*******) the SN of windows 10 Enterprise and the PSW of the only enabled user "administrator"
