Identifying lock or compatibility components

The check-marks used to indicate what you pick or do not pick in component removal are at times very difficult to see. A light shade a grey makes this difficult to see. May I suggest different color check marks. Red for Locked Components, orange for compatibility features for example.

Hi,

agreed about the need to mark component severity. You basically guessed the next update which is interesting, unless you got the preview version.

In the meantime I wonder what do you mean shade of grey is difficult to see.
Is it about the locked (compatibility) components, or about semi-checked (kept) parents?
The locked/compatibility-enabled components cannot be unchecked anyway, no need to worry about them.

Maybe what you're asking for is can we hide/make less visible locked components for faster browsing of the rest?

Thanks.

start having loads or different colours and we gotta remember which is what etc and for some of us who dont have good eyesight making out 1 colour from another is difficult anyway.

May not need to worry about them, but color coded check marks would make it easier to see.

Since I am an Engineer, color coding was always easier to distinguish differences in objects.

fair point i grant you that as an engineer and for British Telecom engineers. apart from the reasons given there is another reason,,, ;)
