Is Display Enhancement Service required for Brightness Control on laptops?

I mean the normal brightness control. Not adaptive brightness.

I kept this service but night light doesn't work so for me it's useless.

I removed Connected Devices Platform Service and Connected Devices Platform User Service. I suspect that these services are also needed for night light. But I don't think it's worth keeping them for a feature that can be easily obtained with third-party programs.

I had disabled Display Policy Service. This service needs to be running while creating a new user for night light to work

So for me it's not worth keeping these 2 services (Display Policy Service and Display Enhancement Service).

Just needed to know if removing Display Enhancement Service will break brightness control on laptops.

I think I will have to test it myself :( the laptop I have is too old to run Windows 10 but I'll give it a try.
