Unable to login on Xbox App on NTLited images

Title says it all. I was unable to login on Xbox app so that I can use my own Xbox game pass. Did make several NTLited images so that I can find which component removal causing the issue and still unable to find it. Hope you can fix this issue.

Oh wow, I posted the same exact issue(albeit for LTSC) just a little before your post.

As stated in my earlier post, even if someone figures out the problem causing this login issue, I'm afraid the Xbox app will still be unable to download the games nevertheless, spitting out a generic error message. Doesn't help that the Xbox app loves to break on its own, let alone when we ticker with Windows itself.

Edit: Found this
Haven't tested it yet but seems likely.

Hi gjalleri,

first enable Windows Store compatibility, that will protect anything that Xbox App and Microsoft Account want to update over the Windows Store (unfortunatelly) - that will then protect needed components for login and download.
Also enable all Xbox Components, trim later when you see it working, there are 7 being removed with your preset.

Let me know if you see anything out of order or room for improvement.

Thanks.

That's actually an outdated preset that I used. On my latest preset I've also included Xbox on my preset as it would remove the Xbox services as well. I've also tried to isolate the issue by enabling all Windows App then used my 2nd last preset then enabling all System section. Tried that one by one up to Multimedia section. I've also tried to reset my services and settings configuration and I still haven't find the cause of the issue.

The issue is caused because you need a few components to make the sign in working
Microsoft.NET.Native.Framework
Microsoft.NET.Native.Runtime
DesktopAppInstaller
XboxApp
XboxIdentityProvider
StorePurchaseApp
VCLibs.140
VP9VideoExtensions
WindowsStore

Obs: Install all .NET apps, and the others, for me is working perfectly. (I'm using Ghost Spectre ISO, and is working without any problems, but make sure you test in a VM)

Are you using the compact or superlite version?

I'm testing out the superlite version, it seems to be missing many of the required components such as VClibs.140. Beyond using the Ghost Toolbox, I haven't done anything special and I can't sign into the Xbox game pass app.

Edit: After more testing seems to be something just wrong with that install, all the required components are there. However I still can't sign into the XBox game pass app, I just get a grey screen for a second.

I'm using superlite version, all you have to do is go to Ghost toolbox and them type 10 - Microsoft Store and Xbox Console Companion
My version of Windows is 1909. After install, go to Local Security policy and them go to Local Policies>Security Options and them search for
Accounts: Block Microsoft Accounts , after you find it double-click and select users can't add or log in to microsoft accounts.
This will prevent you add or log in using microsoft account in windows (not in app, ex: Xbox, Microsoft Store)
Now, restart your computer and them log in to xbox game pass or xbox console companion. I usually log in using Xbox Console Companion and them in the first prompt sign in with your account.
Obs: Don't need install the other apps of xbox, I thought that is needed but after test just install the store and console companion of ghost toolbox, just works perfectly. In 2004 version, should be the same.

Okay after several trial and errors. I've found out what's really causing the issue on my images.
This is only what you really need.
Use default setting on Use only latest CLR (.NET version) This is the reason why I'm unable to login to Xbox App.
.NET Framework 2.0 3.0 and 3.5
.NET.Native.Framework.1.7
.NET.Native.Framework.2.2
.NET.Native.Runtime.1.7
.NET.Native.Runtime.2.2
Xbox App (You may uncheck other Xbox component)

First all you have to do is to login your account on Microsoft Store then install the XboxBetaInstaller Store app will automatically other libs that is need and run the Xbox app and you will see that your account is already login.

This is only the bare minimum if you don't really need the Microsoft Store as you might not able to install other apps on the store.

Thanks. Your profile works as long as you don't touch anything. Whenever I make a change with NTLite, be it a setting, component it breaks any downloads from the store related to game pass. I am really having trouble figuring out where the problem lies.

Getting back to my case: apparently removing or disabling delivery optimization will prevent you from downloading games from the Microsoft Store.

Sorry to bump, but did you find out the issue that was preventing the Xbox App login from working please?

Edit: Figured a way to login. I also installed the Xbox Gamebar. The login worked on this and also logged the Xbox App in with it.
Only issue I'm having now is installing games. The download fails to start. Did you have this issue? How did you resolve it?

Check if you have Storage Service running, Windows License Manager Service running, these services are required to Microsoft Store install games, apps.
Obs: Microsoft Store has more components required, but these are the essentials to run and download apps through Microsoft Store.

Fixed! Followed this guide:
I got about halfway through before I gave up following along and tested the Halo download again, and it worked! I imagine the issue is going to return after a reboot. I'll update then.
