In thread https://www.ntlite.com/community/index.php?threads/how-long-win-7-sp1-updates-drivers.79/ I was advised that the Windows 7 Convenience Rollup (KB3125574) creates issues. The poster referred me to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-for-windows-7-sp1-and-windows-server-2008-r2 and the list of "issues" and workarounds sounds like a real PITA.

Is there a good way to just avoid these issues in the first place?

I guess what I am asking is... if I download ALL Microsoft updates after SP1, but NOT the SP1 Convenience Rollup - KB3125574), and simply let NTLite crunch through all the updates, in the end, will I be good to go, and have avoided the KB3125574 network problems?

Will downloading all the patches / updates via the Windows Hotfix Downloader (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/whdownloader-download.66243/) avoid the problem?

What about using the Windows Update Downloader (http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/ProgramFiles.aspx) with Update Lists put together by raymond.cc (https://www.raymond.cc/blog/create-an-integrated-up-to-date-windows-7-install-disc/view-all/; Oct '17 update list: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/download/did/3132/) seems reasonable as it does not require the download of as nearly as many updates as Windows Hotfix Downloader.

Thanks in advance.
