xwing OpenXr is already included/started, but without any change.
Yes i know 1080p is not cool on monitor, but when i put higher resolution like 2560p for example, then my Reverb get error (or when i set more then 60hz for desktop). I have nvidia card.
That sounds strange, I didn't had any problems related to desktop resolution with my old VEGA64 nor with my current RX6900XT.
Which NVIDIA card exactly are you using? At first I wanted to replace my VEGA64 with a RTX3090(TI), but then the headset was not recognized by the GPU (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c08438096 ) and I stayed with AMD. So far I don't regret that.

Hellbovine WindowsUpdate is working fine and latest drivers are already installed.

Hi evgenij,

have you tried keeping all the green components to get to the working state first?

Since Cortana was needed, anything is possible, it is also green-labeled, so it would simplify things to keep all those, then remove Live those that annoy you. Maybe you can even remove Cortana after setting up the headset, then you might have 2 presets, pre-setup and post-setup.
It may be it's not Cortana, but the dependencies, in this case Windows Search which was needed if you want to re-check Cortana.

Also in parallel remember the suggestion about the VM, snapshot - see if it works, then revert before setup state and remove chunk by chunk, redoing the setup of the headset each time. But don't be surprised if it's not possible to finish setup in a full OS in a VM, it's a stretch to simplify things.

Hi nuhi,

sorry but it cannot be tested in VM as I mentioned before (it can, but your have to mess up with PCIe-Passthrough).

No, I have not done it now, and will check it out. But to be honest, I am not as motivated as I was in the beginning. I don't have a working system for days and what I can do with ntlite without breaking the system in some way, I could have done with unattended.xml and some resgistry files. That's frustrating.

Ok, for the first time the Mixed Reality Portal has completed the initial setup and is starting correctly.

However, I am not satisfied with the solution and not sure if I will use ntlite to debloat my operating system. I don't have a good feeling about using it for daily use, as I've already had to deal with some problems and not every one of them was immediately noticeable.

I think removing components is not a good idea, because no one knows what and when this component might need and I just don't have the motivation nor the time to test every little thing.

I think I will take the cost of the ntlite license as a lesson, install a stock image and then disable/tweak some things in the registry and with oosu10.

For those of you who want to take the rocky road - attached is my last preset that worked for me.

Finding a dependency for a personal and novel situation in this case is hardly "breaking a system".
Once the dependency is found (which in this case it actually wasn't), there is no randomness in avoiding those few components.
Also you could have gone the other way around, install a full system, and remove a handful per day, living a life, then when it breaks use Host Refresh to return it.

But it is understandable that not everyone in that situation wants to be careful about it, or has the time or interest in that regard.

Removal is not the same as unattended or reg settings, nor those cover all the options.
Also NTLite is not just about removals, it makes image editing very easy and reliable - and as every powerful tool, it can be used to "break things".

So then i can give you a lesson. (I'm not connected to NTLite or anything like that just a member of the forum.) You can think of how you use your computer and what you use in the computer. So when you made a list of what you use etc, then you can search on what services/components they need to have to be able to run. And ofc you can't predict the future if a program that you want to use needs something else. But if that would happen, you would know how to deal with it. So at the time like in 5 years time that a new software would need something that is not in your system. Make a backup of the working system that you use and start install software if there is something you delete from before. From what i can understand without knowing to much is that you got CASH to buy these expencive computer equipment. So next time just pay someone to fix the problem for you, since you didn't think removing components was a good idé and have no motivation etc...

Thank you mr. teacher. xD
If you find a list somewhere, which Windows component depends on what, then please send it to me. Otherwise, I expect a product with presets, that the presets are tested and work without restriction. And it's certainly no one's business how I spend my money, and I didn't ask for advice on that.

OK closing this, please open a new topic if there are any issues.

evgenij, Thanks for your feedback, one day there will be a VR compatibility option, maybe retry it then and let me know how it went.
