Current GB ssd prices at my usual supplier, jeez they are cheap
Yes, prices have dropped a lot in recent days.

yeah audit mode, all goes fine up to about 2019 updates and to be completely honest i really dont give a damn now, w10, install SS, net 3.5, net 4.8, CU then .nets CU, no WU cpu blocking, all done built and captured in a vm.mounted .vhd in a fraction of the time it takes to build an eol w7 or 8.1 image.
Honestly it's been a while since I've tried to create an updated Win8.1 ISO, so I can't tell you if everything is ok with the latest updates.

If your PC can handle running Win10 I think it's the best option, little by little programs stopped being updated in Win7/8.1 and at some point you will be forced to upgrade.

shame they aint worried about bloat and resource usage and why they wont give enthusiasts a pure performance os without any glitz and schmitz that installs at 2-3gb without pagefile/hibernation etc.
My dream but won't do it while the vast majority of people just don't care.

w10-1809+ igpu drivers for 8/9th gen. Keeping old os's going is a pain in the ass at times but i got enough savvy to tweak 10 to hell and back so its resources bloat isnt an issue. Ive been trying to shake the "anything but windows 10" monkey on my back for a long time, since my 17763.3165 work and ive finally got rid of that hairy little simian at long last. I will actually free up A LOT of space ive got 7 and 8.1 stuff, iso's and backups, updates out the ass. 10 simplifies things a lot here.

They just install Windows without optimizing anything :D

Running smoothly is something very subjective, what is smooth for you may not be for me and vice versa.

After a long time using a slow system you end up getting used to it and finding it normal, the right thing is to use one OS for a while and then use another OS and compare.

Even with SSD depending on the PC it is possible to notice a difference, I installed 1809 on an Atom with SSD and it was noticeably slower than 1607 and Win8.1.

What magical laptop is this? lol
not magic at all. just ordinary laptop

when i try to install it an error pop-up, "you can't install this file", guess it have to do with Tiny10...
We don't support Tiny10 or other 3rd party ISO on this forum, please read this post (link). That ISO is over-stripped and breaks an enormous amount of functionality everywhere, so it's a waste of time to troubleshoot it. Ask the ISO's author for help, or if you want assistance on the NTLite forum you need to use an unmodified image from Microsoft, with the NTLite tool and one of these options (link).

I see, make sense, thank you. Since i have a full copy of windows LTSC 2021, i can start from this and customize it then.

We debunk them.
Well, tiny10 is pretty good, is how an OS should be, minimal, non invasive, where you install yourself what you need. Windows from 8.1 became a crap, calling it an OS in an insult to true OSes, is an abortion for kids between a console and a smartphone. I came from ms-dos and amiga era so i know how sh*t windows became after the years. I just use it on one pc because i'm forced since some tools works only on directx 12 but if i can go back my chose go for windows xp or seven. Seven is the last decent OS from ms.
Anyway, thank you for the link above.

Smart phones started the down fall in my opinion :(

They legitimised data harvesting, tracking, rapid updates, and bloat.

The features are useful if need them, but windows ideally would be much more modular.

If it makes you feel better, android is much worse, it really is. There is simple apps on there that require insane levels of space just to install (they get compiled and post compile all objects etc. are not deleted), and it has very little space management so temporary data tends to grow for infinity on each app without manual intervention.

Well, for me they are the same crappy oses, but of course is my opinion. Remove all the crap is mandatory, the old times where you just install an os and then you install what you need after are something of the past, now is the os that decide what you can do and what not.

Its been going on for years, bloody lobbyists arguing for it as "legitimate interest", ever since computers came in, remember "the data protection act(here in gb, other countries musthave had similar)" now every joe and his wife can buy/access our data and people wonder why get get hacked. Suprised the aint put adverts on andrex rolls yet.

Windows 11 moment 3, anyone tried it out before? There seems to be a few things in it that I like and a lot of crap to remove again(at lease for me) At lease I got my present saved if I do end up doing it.
