As always, you won't miss:
Latest Windows 10 update is causing issues with gaming performance and mice
Microsoft is working on a fix. Until then, avoid the patch or uninstall it.
In brief: Microsoft's latest cumulative update, KB4482887 (OS Build 17763.348), was supposed to bring many mainstream, quality of life improvements to Windows 10, including limited support on certain devices for the new retpoline patch that helps with Spectre mitigation performance. Instead, users are reporting performance issues with games and with mice.

Report confirms that Microsoft is developing a stripped-down 'Windows Lite' OS
It's being developed for dual-screen devices
In context:
Microsoft has been doing its best to compete with Google in the Chromebook space, but few of the company's efforts have caught on so far. Windows 10 S has all but failed in terms of mass adoption, to name one example.

ssdd, or business as usual.

Yeah yeah yeah, heard this all before, anyone remember MinWin?
No thanks ms, i will roll my own and it will be better than anything you push out.
If they did push one out that didnt include store/apps, silly social media related stuff installed at 3-3.5gb with pagefile/hibbernation and sleep disabled it would fly off the shelves. You got more chance of finding rocking horse dung.

Heres some moire ideas.
Stop putting all the drivers in C: drive, only install whats needed and keep th erest on the install media.
Stop with all this .nets and c++ malarky, they are abominations and should die.
Keep winsxs on the install media and not on the install.
Stop with all the pwer saving measures even on high performance, have a balanced scheme with power saving and a FULL POWER, everything on, no core parking scheme for gamers and content production. I swear these hurt performance. Work with amd and intel so all core throttling is done from the os and not by amd/intel/3rd party tools.
Does windows really need to create as many logs as it does?
FULLY MODULAR install, opt-in, not opt-out by removing post install. If Nero can do it so can you.
Stop pandering to social media junkies(your development teams).
TEST YOUR BLOODY UPDATES FULLY BEFORE RELEASE.

As Ms did in Windows 3 - 9x and winsxs for 9x - XP.

When a new device is connected, old Windows ask for the floppy # and the same for enabling features.

And languages, luckily i never had to do any of that but i would accept it if i had to. Apart from nets and c++ i never have to add/enable stuff.

They are nearly the same for every w10 article, :D With 8.1 working on CL i dont even need to worry about using 10. And WU blocked on 8.1 im laughing my tits off :D

Just seen the comments by nana nene and john p myers about an hour ago, damn shame we cant post them here :D

mwahahahaha. Ive snipped it for posterity :D
That reminds me of an Anthony Burgess story about a frustrated army motor mechanic.

The same as "Windows XP End of Support Notification (KB2934207)" but adware added, probably in the monthly rollup.

If you are running 7 and go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us, you can see a purple bar with the text "After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is nearing the end. Learn more" and click...:

They are here already

Support for Windows 7 is nearing the end
After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end on January 14, 2020. We know change can be difficult, so we are here to help you with recommendations for what to do next and to answer questions about end of support.

Next Jan? pah! XP was still being patched with those point of sale updates way beyond its eol. W7 will still be used in 2023, hardware depending.
2023 eol for 8.1, still being used 3 years later so hardware depending i wont have to worry about w10/whatever for the foreseable, suits me.

“We Removed Some Recently Installed Updates…” What Does This Upcoming Windows 10 Alert Mean
"Earlier this week, the company announced that it will begin to automatically uninstall problematic updates that result in startup failure".
If the machine wont start how in hell can you uninstall them????????

Hi Clanger. There is something new in windows that does not need the OS to be booted, it is called windows push software. It is already working on many motherboards and already active. You only need a internet connection and it does not need nic drivers either. You can find some info about it here. Some speculation reads that once it has nic access it will solve the issue, whether true or not....doesn't matter....I ripped that crap out of my windows version

Motherboards installing software on their own? no thanks. What else are they going to put into YOUR computer without YOUR knowledge and WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT.
