NTLite 1.7.2.6623 | 1.8.0.6623

I would gladly help, but the issue is we're talking about the known piece of TabletPC component.
Until this becomes more needed, to warrant a separate component or is moved to Store or something, you can do this hidden advanced step.

Edit .\settings.xml in the tool's directory, while the tool is closed.
Add
Code:
<ProtectManifests>
    <Manifest>microsoft-windows-tabletpc-platform-comruntime</Manifest>
</ProtectManifests>
Right above <RecentPaths> for example.
As it is self-explanatory, that will protect the component piece no matter what is removed.

Let me know if that helped.
Btw there will be a new version out in an hour or so, you might want to wait that too.

Thanks, but do I need to do that when I can simple check it the normal way? What known piece? Will that new version have this problem solved or are you suggesting me to try that in the new version?

maszd, fixed, let me know if there are still issues with the UI. Thanks again.

What is a normal way?
Known piece is specified in that code above.
There is no issue, explained the situation above, it's a matter of keeping part of TabletPC, I gave you an option how, if you don't want to keep OneNote app.
New version is the same in that regard.

In NTLite's GUI. This doesn't make sense since I removed/configured everything (including the OneNote app) but Tablet PC/Input App and I didn't have the problem and removed/configured everyting (including Tablet PC/Input App) but the OneNote app and I had it so it isn't the OneNote app removal that causes this problem but the removal of another thing.

It's due to the 1809 Cumulative Update requirements.
Same files are removed from Windows itself, but some extra are kept in WinSxS.
To trigger the same removal depth, Windows Update must be removed as well.

If you need Windows Update to install updates, then it must be as is now, for 1809.
You can use Host Refresh to update without WU.

I'll be improving the reduction of WinSxS as more is learned about the new system - they now use Delta files to update, not full files on the updates themselves.

Nuhi, one of the recent builds left loads of empty folders in w8.1 winsxs, once i found them with Everything it looked good in there.

One reason i keep windows update is for keep windows featured on or off option, i see that option depend on windows update :( can this option split? Thanks.
It's all part of the same Windows package handling, more you keep in WinSxS, more stable it will be down the line.
I have an idea how to trim it a bit more, just need some time - it will be visible on the changelog when done.

In the meantime, you could try this, no guarantees:
do it as you always did, to preserve WU + Features compatibility.

Then in the second pass, remove WU + Windows Component Store.
That will remove all the excess files, BUT you may just get a feature OFF on those that were enabled prior, so you can play with that idea - it may also downright break feature config, including the off, so play with this only if you have time and interest.

Hi nuhi, is en_windows_10_enterprise_ltsc_2019_x64_dvd_74865958 already supported? I have license from 2017 and the features are lock to me.

LTSB/C is just an edition, its the build number that matters, build 1809 is supported and will happily work with LTSB/C editions.
As long as an OS build number is supported then any edition in that series will be supported.

Yes, it works, 1809 support was added on 09/18/2018, it is considered a premium features refresh - mainly as each new Windows version requires adaptation of existing features and potential feature cutting.

Full list of supported versions is on the Features page: https://www.ntlite.com/features/

Since it was added on 9/18/2018 and I have 2017 license does it mean I have to buy new license in order for me to unlock the features for build 1809? Cause all features are lock to me and I can't remove any components at all.

If license expired pre 9/18/2018 (purchase date before 9/18/2017), then a renewal (50% discount) is necessary.
Search for Renewal links on the Shop page for more info, don't buy a whole new license.

nuhi 6593(both) and previous builds are installing to renamed folders, NTLite-1.8.0.6582-beta for exAample, not to NTLite.
I cant right click and extract with 7zip anymore, i just get this
Capture.PNG
I prefer to extract programs, could we have portable zip or 7z files please :)

The zip files can be extracted.
I never had the extracted the installer, do you have or had uniextract installed?
The exe files ask where to install (C:\Program Files\NTLite) but i install wherever i want and check the box "Portable".

Hello;
I am using "Windows 8.1". It contained 167 services. The result of "Ntlite" was 42 pieces of service. 125 reduced service. Very good to reduce services. Ram, cpu, hd; much more relaxed. Deleting unnecessary data. Removing a lot of services in the latest version.
Last version remove: (Attention)
Components: ‘Component Services (COM+)’
Components: ‘COM+ Event System’
Components: ‘COM+ System Application’
Components: ‘Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC)’
Components: ‘System Event Notification Service (SENS)’
I hate all "com" services (especially).
I remembered;
When using "Windows Xp", I was deleting it with nlite.
The best program I've bought is "ntlite".
The best free program I've used is "nlite".
We are the "Nuhi" generation. :-D
We are software weakeners - simplifying (lite).
