NTLite battery component

As the title says.... battery is in red for removal. Is this for laptops or does it also have UPS in it as well. If I don't have it on a laptop or a UPS device can I just purge this? Tried looking around and couldn't find any information on it?

Yes, it's the laptop battery, one cannot guess on what the image will be used, so it's recommended to keep.
If you don't need it, remove it, don't know of any sideeffects, make sure to let me know.

It would be beneficial to add battery to the compatibility and move it to Gaming template, as it really isn't necessary on desktop.
If anyone has any experience with this, let me know, I'll remove it on mine going forward, as a long-term test.

Thanks for the response back, will try tonight and see what happens.

Battery feature supports UPS monitoring (via USB cable).
Installing and Configuring a UPS with Windows 10
Very, very slight degradation in computer performance when removed. No frame loss just a extremely low chance of not being as smooth with the battery left alone. There must be something hidden that may have been causing this. I tested and tested it again by backing up and trying again.

It continues with its removal so my final say for me at lease to leave it be and it's so small as a removal I don't really care. I only care if it gives me anything no matter how small

Let me get this straight, removing an unused battery driver reduced performance of your PC?
How, so that I can test it.

Thanks.

My computer is mostly used as a media player(movies,tv shows) stuff like that. Minor use in games and backup of files. I didn't notice anything much in gaming so cannot attest to that but in my movie watching/tv watching I had a slight minor stutter that was noticed.

I am pretty sensitive to it so might be hard to see. No idea why such a removal would do such a thing but when restoring it stopped the very minor stutter.

Mine too - and still working on 11 with WMC :)
Battery should be kept, as image can be installed on both desk- as laptop.
UPS can be searched smartly as attached (Yellow) in NTL.
As for the stuttering i was thinking about powerplan - i've put High Perfomance into my GPO and never experienced any stutter.
All drivers related to Battery is recommended.
For the record - i'm not BATman ;)

I have no idea why it caused issues with my video watching but as I said I am very sensitive to changes. My wife thinks I'm crazy and cannot see it. Why something like all battery components/driver removal would cause any issues is beyond me when I have nothing that uses batteries(don't even have a battery mouse/keyboard haha)

On of the many mysteries of windows.

Battery drivers is linked to MSpower plans - just a guess as battery settings go into all 3 powerplans possible in GPO.
Hibernate etc.

My power is at high performance either way with or without it removed. I am going to consider it being an anomaly for me. Also let not forget my system is a AMD 8350 so anything that has an affect may not be detected on a higher end system.

right maybe - min. AM4 seems to be the new "highend way" - maybe i'm already outdated with and ASUS laptop - but still no stuttering or flickering with WMC keeping all battery drivers intact in preset.
I've to PC's with even older hardware and never experienced any problem - and i'm very sensitive too regarding both sound and picture.

Nuhi asked about testing earlier. I think the place I would start is to have the UPS component installed, do a registry capture, then do a live removal with NTLite of the component, and then compare. This would show any changes (deletion) of power setting keys, which would then identify any potential performance issues, if for example a fairly important key is tied to that component and being removed.
