Hi, i just installed the latest beta update of ntlite and after installing it just stops suddenly on windows 10 build 2004.No errors no logs. I tested it in both x86 and x64 versions, same thing. Any fix? Thx.

Thanks.
Tested it on the exact version of the image from your preset, plus the preset, and deployed into it latest installer, it installed and ran the tool just fine.
Only difference in our tests, and not a small difference, is the vast collection of REG tweaks that you also add.
Can you try without those, deploy it to a virtual machine and try to install NTLite there?

Let me know if you have any more info that can help track this down.

Sure will test and update here. Even if it works, I am thinking is there any new dependency added in last few builds of NTLite, as older ones were working fine with those registry tweaks.

No new dependencies that I know of, keep updating the tools and SDKs, maybe something changed.
Interested to see what this is and adapt if possible, so far no one else reports x64 issues and x86 are solved (was a recent change in the tool I use for packaging, not the tool itself).

Hello nuhi,

Please see video in: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cYi0YnEtBL

install (finish install dont working ntlite), double click (dont working)

Dont generate files in %temp%

Info:
Windows 2404 (english) ISO generate with ntlite 1.9.0.7539 in windows 1909, language: english, plataform: x64
How is the latest version, ntlite.com/download build 7580?

If the same, can you see Event Viewer log for any info?
If there is no logging then the tool didn't even start, something blocked it.
Make sure it's not being sandboxed, I noticed that z3r09 has Windows Sandboxing enabled in features, maybe there is the key somehow.

Hello Nuhi,

I test ISO windows 2004 before of July 2020 and ntlite working
I test ISO windows 2004 with KB 4565503 included and ntlite dont working

Note: none ntlite versión (include build 7580)

Interesting, will send a test version to you in a private message to try to pin-point this.
Thanks.

giro21k and I found out that the sound effect tool "Nahimic" was causing his crash, uninstalling it solves the crash.
I cannot test it on my side as it blocks installs on non-compatible hardware.
Also found on the internet that many other tools have the same problem with it, recommending uninstalling it, like this one.

Still waiting on z3r09's results.

Yes I can also confirm it was Nahimic for me. The strange thing is the it used to work around 1 month before. I even tried there old version still no success. Also I have noticed that Nahimic depends on CBS preview and that is something which I started removing recently. I would check my next build with CBS preview installed.

Curious to know how we identified Nahimic as the culprit as that would have been the very last software I thought about interfering with NTLite.

Oh interesting, what are the odds.

I saw the libraries being injected into NTLite's memory/process from the giro21k's crash dump.
Then searching about those saw online that other authors are complaining on Nahimic crashing their tools.

Seems like Nahimic is the one attaching itself where it shouldn't.
If you can report it to them, great, or if there is a way to run Nahimic without special hardware so I can debug in details and try to avoid the crash.
If this becomes a more common problem, will add detection to the NTLite's installer and warn if the offending app is detected on the same machine.

Thanks.
