NTLite stopped being repeatable?

This is a REALLY bizarre problem.

A few days ago I built a working iso for Windows 8.1 Pro using NTLite.

First I took an OEM base iso and integrated updates into it.

Then I removed fonts, language and keyboard. I copied that folder and last, I removed components.

The first time I did this - about 3 days ago - I got an iso that worked properly.

Today I made a copy of the folder where I had removed the fonts, language and keyboard, and ran the same Preset to remove components.

Now I get an iso that does NOT work properly. (A problem with Store.)

The second iso is about 7 MB smaller than the first one!

I've tried to eyeball the two different iso's to see what's different about them. So far, nothing looks different.

But there are a LOT of files to look at. Anyone got a freeware tool that can compare directories to find differences? (Kind of like a Winmerge for folders.)

Anyone got any ideas how NTLite could possibly make two different ISO's from the same Preset?

Strange, im using backed up copies from an original that didnt get much use and they dont get much use when i use them, mebbe summats wrong under the hood.

Get a fresh copy and get the executables file hash then compare it with the one thats being used, if summat is changing inside it the file hash may be different.

One im using, SHA-1: F59129FA771660EA08C69D0F3AF4A2290D6AC85B - 1.7.1.6593 x64.

I have the same hash. I waited 20 minutes for any file list to build. (Since Clanger said it takes time.) Nothing.

As i have never used Win 8, let me tell you that, once installed Windows 10 the store starts self updating and updating the integrated apps if there is a connection to the web.
I don't doubt that Store starts to update immediately. But even if I left my network cable attached during install (I don't), I don't see how updates to Store could change the underlying wim iso. Clearly it can't if one were installing from an iso burned on a DVD.

Anyway, thanks for the pointer to Beyond Compare. I might give it a try to see if I can solve this problem.

Did you get a dialog box asking you where to save the file? Windows has a brain fart and complains the program is not responding, ntlite fades out while it is busy, its busy windows!!!! Heres my list, actually not, its an 11mb text file, 99578 files.

Nope.

I wonder if you have an add-on in Windows - or a Reg Hack - that gives you this option in the NTLite context menu? 'Cause so far, you're the only one who saysmthey have it.

nuhi ?

1716593 x64. You should be, Get File List has been there for a long time.
That's for alpha testers only, and that function is not polished anyway (too slow).

pmikep, any remaining issues? Please rephrase it in short sentences so that I can prioritize easier.
Thanks.
