OneDrive sync status icons

Next problem to solve... OneDrive is working but there are no sync status icons, such as a green tick or cloud.

Which component could have removed that?

It's something under Windows Apps section that is allowing File Explorer to have the OneDrive status icons. The investigation continues...

Resolved - but auto unattended OOBE seems to remove the OneDrive context menu for some reason.

Thanks for the report about the icons, will check if it's expected (guessing Settings Sync from the screenshot).

Regarding the OOBE and OneDrive:
- do you normally answer yes when asked about OneDrive in the manual setup process?
- does it work after autounattended install if you start using OneDrive and reboot?
- would you like the Enable OneDrive option under Unattended? You have username and password, or is it a Business (autologin) account?

I don't know why the OOBE affects OneDrive context menu because they aren't related, right? There's no OneDrive options in the OOBE. And you know what I mean by OneDrive context menu - I mean the right-click Share menu:

I found out some scripts will knock out the sync status icons - possibly restored by resetting OneDrive - but main thing is to wait for automatic OneDrive update (cloud icon with a line going through it appearing in the system tray) then login before running any service disabling scripts, etc.

As for OneDrive context menu I found that either UAC is needed or Windows User Interface (TWINUI) - am about to find out which one.

The OOBE Wifi connection screen (et al) I still don't know which component is needed - but it's not necessary. OneDrive is more important IMO.

Thanks gilius, will check and add a new compatibility once confirmed.

This is also very important for 1903/1909 as the context menu can also drop off because of this:

"What causes this is quite simple. A few months back, MS changed the way the installer works. Default settings now are per user, and not per machine. If you simply download the OneDrive installer, and instead of double clicking to install, go to the command line, run the installer like this: "OneDriveSetup.exe /allusers". Once you do that, reboot, and your context menu and all features will be back. "

That TWINUI is confirmed to allow "View online" in the OneDrive context menu:

Remote and Privacy > OneDrive
Windows Apps > Setting Sync
System > Anti-Malware Scan Interface > User Account Control (UAC)

System > Windows User Interface (TWINUI) – 32-bit (for View Online context menu)
onedrivesetup.exe /allusers

Anti Malware+UAC are not needed!!! It turns out that installing without /allusers was the root cause - though UAC did provide a workaround in some contexts.

Might still need Sync Settings for this. Bear in mind when you open the onedrive folder make sure you open from the blue icon instead of manually browsing there from the drive letter
