If I remember correctly with the previous versions I was able to (natively) eliminate all these Optional features

I will also be stupid but now I can't anymore.
Has anything changed with the 8500? am I wrong?

Where do I find these Optional features in NTLITE?

Thanks

Yes i reported same thing to nuhi lots of features are missing.

from Win10 Features page
<Feature name="App.StepsRecorder~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="App.Support.QuickAssist~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64">false</Feature>
<Feature name="MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Microsoft.Windows.MSPaint~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Microsoft.Windows.WordPad~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="OpenSSH.Client~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Print.Fax.Scan~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>

from Win11 Features page
<Feature name="App.Support.QuickAssist~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Print.Fax.Scan~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>

and maybe more that i missed. some were replaced by goodlooking names as nuhi told me. but i think some are completely missing

Fortunately most of them are removed by removing the components related to them (is that the reason they don't show up?) with the exception of Print.Fax.Scan which is not removed even after removing 'Fax'.

I noticed a pattern. These features appear in NTLite but listed as disabled although they are enabled. And that happens only with features that have received updates.

With 19044.1288 in Updates page on NTLite this appears:
Capture.PNG

Where is 10.0.19041.1 (feature without update) NTLite correctly lists it as enabled.

It is possible to remove packages on this same page but they will be removed at the same time you click Remove and not later on Apply page, so it is manual without being saved in presets.

no they don't even exist. normally i force put them in the preset by manually saving the preset. but they don't even there this time.

i'm using my same vanilla iso, it had all the entries before ntlite update.

I tried to insert all the voices in the preset but NTLITE doesn't exclude them anyway and in the S.O. appear.

We hope that nuhi will be able to fix this "anomaly"

For me using an updated ISO build 19044.1288 they appear but disabled.

I'm using en-us_windows_10_business_editions_version_21h2_x64_dvd_ce067768.iso (untouched official 21H2 ISO).

In Features -> Features On Demand (Capabilities):

PowerShell ISE is at version 10.0.19041.1 (no updates) and appears correctly enabled.

yes some of them still there, but you are also missing;

<Feature name="Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64">false</Feature>
<Feature name="MathRecognizer~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Microsoft.Windows.MSPaint~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="App.StepsRecorder~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>

<Feature name="OpenSSH.Client~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>
<Feature name="Print.Fax.Scan~~~~0.0.1.0">false</Feature>

But removing components removes most of them as I said (Example: removing Windows Media Player in Components removes Windows Media Player in features on demand) so it is not necessary to disable just remove it in Components. Exception to this would be special cases like removing/disabling Microsoft Quick Assist but keeping Remote Desktop.

With my preset the only one left is Windows Fax and Scan.

They're there too, I just didn't print it because it doesn't all fit in the same window.

Only "Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64" doesn't appear but I believe it has been purposely hidden so that it doesn't have duplicate entries (the other entry would be Internet Explorer 11).

Here's the rest:

Internet Explorer 11 (Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64):

But anyway this is a bug they should be listed as enabled so the preset disables them, let's hope nuhi fix it.

yeah internetexplorer removal is hidden i think... about other thing u said component removal yes removes them, but what about if i don't want to remove component...

i think u got the problem we were talking about. thanks for ss it would help nuhi

but what about if i don't want to remove component...
Good point, I thought about it after answering. I always remove what I don't need as I'm sure I won't need it later but that's not the case for everyone. Someone might want to disable it instead of removing it to be able to enable it again in the future if they need to. If you remove it, there is no way to add it again.

btw i don't even get your listing.... this is mine... they are from w11, on w10 its worse
That's weird o_O your problem must be something else then.

And this is my Win 10 21h2 Ent. 1387...

They are not here!!! but after installation they are all there (see initial post img)
