Possible to remove component without touching registry?

I have removed Microsoft Account in 1909, but that prevents activation. Removing files (manually) doesn't break activation, and I see that something in registry is deleted, so that prevents activation (also error suggests that some registry key is missing).

Or, to have option to remove custom files? We aleady have list of files that should be skipped during removal.

Interesting, will test that and report back, potentially tomorrow.

Having a mode to skip registry seems very rarely needed as it may only leave unwanted leftovers and ties to the removed files.
In this situation it helped to find a potential dependency detachment.
To remove files, it could be arranged in the preset file itself by manually editing, no UI and no support until the same issue is replicated without those entries.
If you're ok with those limitations, I can send you a test version also tomorrow.

Thanks.

Thanks nuhi.

I need a bit more testing, I narrowed down list of files that shouldn't be removed if you want activation to work. For now I am sure that one of these 2 (or both) shouldn't be removed:
%WINDIR%\IdentityCRL\INT\wlidsvcconfig.xml
%WINDIR%\IdentityCRL\production\wlidsvcconfig.xml

I need to see about files in System32.

Maybe I am wrong about registry. I will test with manual removal of those files and see if something in System32 breaks activation. That will preserve registry, so I can be sure if something in registry is needed for activation.

Also, I tested removal of EFS Service and Firewall service, which breaks left click start menu and immersive control panel. Same goes as for activation, removal of just files doesn't break start menu. Or you can remove those features with NTLite and then readd those 2 services in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services. I mean this is just stupid MS, not related to NTLite at all. So just having those 2 services in registry, without files, will not break start menu and immersive control panel.

Hi again nuhi
I just tested more, and to summarize, removing these 2 files (with registry not being touched) will break normal activation (non KMS):
IdentityCRL\production\wlidsvcconfig.xml
System32\wlidsvc.dll

Removing Microsoft Account component, while preserving those 2 files will still break activation, which I guess is caused by something removed from registry.

Hey nuhi
Do you have any update on this?
I forgot to reply on proposed solution to add files in preset. I am perfectly fine with that option.
