Howzit Nuhi. Are you well mate? Got a good one for you!....getting this errors when compiling....any idea cause my head is spin flat at this stage. Windows 8.1 x64

With this pic I didn't load anything, nothing. Only took os, import and rewrite to image.

It's ok. Got the culprit. I incorporated updates with a prior installation and a previous NTLite version. This is causing the issue. Took a new untouched ISO and there is no problem with it. For some reason it doesn't like something that is done in the previous ISO image.

What a bargain. With customers like me you don't need support, we fix our own mess. hhahahaha

You "broke the #1 rule" for slimming a source:
Always use a clean source.

Good to know you have found the solution and thanks for the followup, about a month ago i had about the same problem but because that "half broken" source was the only left that could reinstall once in my system to work again.

Remember that there has been a big change in NTLites engine too. Modifying an image using old and the new could lead to big big problems.

Perhaps Nuhi should give a warning on the next release warning against using an old image and to start from a clean source.

Good day everyone. Yeah I know.....always been a rule breaker. But...my issue is back. New ISO and incorporated updates, and it's the same. This is a list of updates I incorporate, maybe, BIG MAYBE you know one that can cause an issue. It is definitely one of them...I'm thinking KB2919355 but not sure. It would save alot of time. Thanks

How do you download the updates and why do you integrate them "in "steps" and not all together at once?

and lastly....It makes it easier to fault find if one cause a break like I'm having now....oh and some are dependent on others to be integrated first

when i troubleshoot, i do tests "in half-s":
First half ok
Second half not ok, then reduce the second half in 2 parts for testing and so on.

I download updates with WSUS offline from here:
http://download.wsusoffline.net/

On the right side, in the blue rectangle, click on the 11.0.1, the 9.x is an extended update for xp only, i didn't download updates for 8 but i did for 10.

It download all the updates, except those "by mail request".

Yeah....I do a windows update check to see what I need, then do a lookup and readup on the kb files of what they do and then put them in a list of what I need, then download them straight from the catalogs site. I DO NOT download any OS related stuff from any other site. I do this maybe once a year when I need to format or I not like something or I've done or something I'm using that's new and not included in my previous rip.

WSUS offline downloads directly from the links that you get from http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx, not from other site.

Windows update check and download the first updates, later, it download the next, sometimes updates that replaces updates already installed, that could lead to a problem.

I wonder if you know that there are updates that replace others and why you listed this:

KB3172729-1
KB3172729-2
QR KB4019114-1
QR KB4019114-2
QR KB4019114-3
QR KB4019114-4

What are the differences between them?

I have downloaded all the win 8.1 x64 updates, check the log, you can take the links and download with a file download manager like "Free Download Manager".

KB3172729-1 refer to article 3172729
KB3172729-2 refer to article3173424
These to files has the size of 264KB and 10MB. Do you think they do exactly the same thing? because I do not! I actually found my problem in one of the 4 QR Files...just busy determining which one it is.

QR KB4019114-1 refer to article KB4014505
QR KB4019114-2 refer to article KB4014507
QR KB4019114-3 refer to article KB4014510
QR KB4019114-4 refer to article KB4014512
Thus the reason I install them

OK......found it. KB4040981 cause the break of Internet activasion and dotnet 2-3 installation in NTLite. Louded it first....fail...loaded it in the middle....fail. loaded it at the end....fail
