Im at a standstill right now UF, Nuhi is planning Package Removals so i will be combining package removals and Liting to create my own preset(to create a new base iso) which will be lighter but not Bareboned. So its gonna be create a new base iso with package removals, no updates liting or tweaks, then i will Lite that image later on. Once Nuhi has got that finalised(working, ui layout etc) then i will put my own preset out. Ive got a fair idea already of what packages i want to take out and there will be more. I will prolly posst a packages list beforehand.

Its gonna be a captured wim with .net3.5 installed etc. Somewhere between 3.5 and 5gb installed.

Ryzen 3000 is due for release in the middle of the year so i wont be switching to w10. Intels new 9th gen cpus are up, KF series so im prolly gonna be on 8.1 for at least another 12 months.

The only problem with package removals is what to take out without butchering the image too much and making it unworkable, thaat was always my problem, when is enough enough.

ultraform Even if i do switch to Ryzen 2000(R3 2300X) or 3000(R3?) and use w10(1607 hopefully) i will still use 8.1 for internet work(2 apu systems worth of hardware) so there will likely be more 8.1 work going on, possibly an 8.1 Barebone with networking.

That's nice xD networking can be good that I allso Use. I still try to find solution what make W8 and W10 not have stable frames per secund in games like in W7 and older OS. My friends i7 9700k and 32gb ram Gefocre 2070 and faster ssd have same fps drop I have in w8 and w10 :/
and I have i7 4790k and Gtx 1060 3gb and 16 ram. Tried disable and removed many Apps and Disable Telemetry's thats make big boost but stil not get it stable :/ If I find a solution I culd go over to w10 without problem =)

Have a look Here UF, "- GameDVR and Overlay crap (GameDVRPresenceWriter, gamepanel.exe) are non-functional/absent, and Game Mode wont work. (Only screws up gaming anyway, can integrate if you really want to, I find it to be a frametime killer and intrusive to my games.) "

Your friend still having frame rate issues on 8.1?

Theres so much telemetry in w10 its hard to know if you get it all. Id go 1607( ;) ) because its stable if i go 10.
Intels new KF are due at my usual supplier Jan 31 but they are expensive and damn hard to justify. 9600K and KF are £260+ then you need a cooler. Ryzen 3000 series(rumoured), 3300 and 3300X are 6c/12t are 99 and 129usd. I got 2 Wraith coolers and 4 Akasa ak862s. I can get a Ryzen 2000 bundle right now and the 2300X is £80. Im gonna pay a massive premium to use 8.1 if i upgrade. I dont know what the hell toodoo

I have heard that it does but Ryzen Master does not, its w10 only. I have to use OverDrive for my Piledriver 7600 7890K and 880K to stop them from throttling themselves. Ryzen may throttle itself too and without RM you wont get full control of it.

I used the latest installer at the time anything up to 6 weeks ago and i got a similar message to the grab below. I just used an older version on my 880K Piledriver and it installed but said Unsupported Processor which was expected with the 880K. I got the latest installer, it installed but it gave me the grab below. Now i dont give a monkeys about overclocking or boost speeds, i stick with the base speed and toggle the multiplier to get all 4 piledriver cores at 4.0(base speed) and keep the thermals at the cpu rated tdp. Its possible some smart alec could patch RM somehow so it could do what i want on 8.1 or a 3rd party utility that does the same but doesnt have os restriction.

Is that the installer or the RM executable? I cant test it but im tempted by the Ryzen 2300x bundle, then i could. You could put it on PasteBin. :)

Right now i dont know 1st hand if Ryzen(2000) works on 8.1, all i have heard is it does. If you can patch RM then its gotta be worth a go. :)
