Every time I remove Asimov my install tell me " Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computers hardware", and it tells me this on more than one machine's architecture. Anyone has a better idea for removing Asimov? Thanx

OK.....It's a update causing the non-removal of asimov....will report back once I found which one it is.

FOUND IT. With a bare OS version there is NO Asimov, once QR KB4015550 or quality rollup is installed Asimov is installed into OS. Just someone would like to know. Will check if other updates also install Asimov into OS and report back.

Found a nice clean 8.1 with only 2 updates in it.......no other crap. This one will work nicely. A little bit older but will do the job. Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit - Client 6.3.9600.16384.

Thanx again Kasual

because of these kind of bug posts finally i reenabled asimov and other telemetry component too.. it is so sad that we cant delete anything because everyother update there will be a risk or there really is a problem with windows or windows updates..

i purchased ntlite a while ago but now i'm stuck with metro app removal only. and i can do that with a powershell command too.. so sad that i cant configure my iso without any bugs...

Yeah....it will happen to me too. One day into this OS and I cannot download from MS website anymore. Hhehehe...but I dont get the language problem anymore.

I haven´t had such problems, at least with 1703.

I do prefer to install all updates and remove 'Windows update' to be safe against updates that kills Windows, but if i want to keep Ms Store, i have to keep Windows Update and against my will, receive all updates.

Blame Ms.

Open or download and open the xml with a text editor then find your language.

The image is in ESD format, found it googling a SHA1: b752dde02e15a5ca62185cde9f36df78d1a16e4d

If you prefer to install the latest Win 10 and you're worried about the license key, Win 10 can be installed with (as far as i know), a Win 7, 8, 8,1 and earlier Win 10.

Every computer bought with Win 8 and newer includes the license key in BIOS (or UEFI), when you install Win 10, you don't need to add a key, just hide the page with NTLite and whenever the computer connects to the internet, it self activate the license key without popping up notifications.

@Saaglem, have you maybe tried to remove Asimov from 7 using latest version, should I retest this if you haven't?
I would like to fix any remaining Win7 issues.

@ege914, which bugs, please link or open your thread, which I might have missed.

Thanks.
