Hi all, hope you had a good Christmas. I'm starting fresh for the new year, so have been reworking my past preset. Two questions:
In the features section there's around 30 networking drivers checked and I can't imagine needing them all - if any. Removing them trims off a fair chunk, so can anyone can tell me conclusively whether these are actually needed or not. It could be that just 1 is - whichever that might be. It's common sense to install drivers provided by your motherboard manufacturer but I'm wondering if these have other generic purposes outside of that.
My second question is with the Drivers section. Basically the same thing, millions of drivers and doubt over whether the average user would need even half of them. Thanks!
Regarding Update Packages: I noticed that despite removing all signs of Windows Media Player among other things with the latest 23h2 v2 iso, remounting the processed image still shows 2 Windows Media Player Legacy (App) in the update packages along with Exchange ActiveSync, XPS Document Writer (staged) and MSMQ (staged). While all the other ones have gone, I 100% have these items set to be removed in components. Most of these cannot be removed manually due to Access Denied. Extracting a new ISO and removing these BEFORE processing the final image results in a smaller ISO than simply ignoring those packages, but still have limitations over which will allow access for removal.
