Search field in Settings no longer works (Windows 11 22H2)

Hello, I noticed that no matter which preset I use for component removal, for example privacy or gaming, the search box in the Windows 11 settings does not return any results afterwards. The search box in the Start menu still works as it should. Is this known? Is Cortana possibly involved? Version is Win 11 Pro 22H2.

Both templates remove Cortana and Windows Search. Search panel in Settings requires Cortana.

It appears that the removal of Cortana alone breaks searching in the Windows 11 settings app. It also causes the settings app to crash when accessing Advanced indexing options and Indexer troubleshooter.

At least that has been my experience.

I feel like it would be a really good idea to add some more warnings and/or compatibility options into NTLite for Cortana, Xbox, and Windows Store. These are by far the most repeated issues in the forum--removing any of them breaks too much stuff because of how intertwined they are into other parts of the OS.

only thing with search/cortana you gotta be careful it dont wipe out other stuff you need. do you really need them?
Everything is Search on the old columbian marching powder, windows search is like a tortoise wearing cement boots.

And if someone one day can tell me how to remowe INDEXING before install on C drive i would appreciate it. All other drives remember even after new install? Maybe it's just reggie???

you mean this?

garlin if i untick that box before sysprep/capture, would that setting be remembered during deployment or not? im guessing not.

or even set during install would be good.

I'm on W11 - but think make no difference. Tried to find a solution on the big dark too. Nobody can find out. So good luck and don't waste your weekend on me - even i be greatful if you can find the culprit .

i reset that option to deafult, took a reg snapshot. unchecked then created another snapshot, compared but i dont know what im looking at :(

Nope - i always go to sysprep on clean install where i can manage things - the same go for new version without virtual version like cloud people and i'am only a private normal user have to have control
NTL is somehow messed up with configs for gamers and for most pros, that have W to work in their environment.
