Preset / Save / Save As...

Unless you've disabled it from Settings, NTLite auto-saves the last applied session's preset in both the Preset folder, and on the finished ISO. This is to help users who keep forgetting to do their own saves.

ohhhh ok i seen those i didnt know what they were - i got it now thats much better ... took me like 30+ min each time watching 2 vids to know what settings i wanted ... lol

by chance is there a detailed manual that maybe gives a lay-mens description of all the different subjects and settings?

one the of problems im gaving is this start menu, "get started" i cant seem to make go away but i have all that extra stuff turned off, and maybe its normal but im only making Win 11 pro and im removing stuff but when i add the updates my ISO jumps 2 GB and its less then 1 GB of downloaded updates .. but thats on back burner i just wont add updates - im just trying to get a no spying and removing things i dont ever use install on my system

Removing Get Started is a problem, because it's an optional app buried inside Client.CBS -- which is a required Desktop component. The more recent NTLite versions have tried to address this, but it's not a perfectly clean removal AFAIK.

When you add updates to an image, use DISM cleanup to remove the superseded (replaced) files to reduce image size. The more aggressive you go in cleanup, the less likely the installed image can be upgraded. It's a tradeoff.

After you've finished editing an image, you can convert it from WIM format to ESD for higher compression. This is a time consuming process. Since ESD images are not editable, so it should be done as the very last step.

For guides, start with Hellbovine's collection of Guides. While they're not NTLite walk-thru's, how you can use NTLite to solve certain problems will get explained.
