Solved - Removing IE & Edge

Hi, i only use chrome. so i don't want any internet explorer or edge on my system. but i was always afraid to delete those because i always thought that some programs/games will use ie's or edge's infrastructure and will always need them.

what is the safest way to get rid of edge and internet explorer without breaking windows update or any software/games. is it possible to just erase the interface+extensions to other links and visible ruins at computers startmenu etc?

so simply i want to know which components i should delete and which settings should i do on ntlite for safest trick. the reason i ask and never deleted before is i always saw some threads that people open and had problems with different parts of their systems.. some of them had issues with games some had issues with other softwares and wu maybe.

Does the stuff work with it disabled? Blame the sodding developers, look at nuhi, no nets or c++'s, it can be done :)

i didn't erase wmp and ie but i disabled them.. and it seems i can install autocad (which wants ie to be installed...)

so this is the solution for me i really forgot about features part. i didn't even remembered ie and wmp was there thank you very much! u are great

At least you found a workable workaround, great :). If i am correct disabling IE in features just removes the ui.
If you cant remove, disable. :)

I removed IE with MSMG ToolKit. What problems might I have and how come disabling it doesn't cause some?

for internet explorer: i saw an important software like autocad refuses to even install

for windows media player: i saw rockstargames launcher refuses to run or install i don't remember, either way eventually none of its games connected to rockstar social launcher doesn't work such as GTA V (i tested by removing wmp didn't tested feature disable option, may still not work even only disabled)

Not everybody use the same software - and our challenges may not be the same depending on what kind of a user we're.
This is NTlite forum and not MDL/MSMG!

Well, I also remove Windows Media Player with NTLite. What about the problems one may have disabling IE (or Windows Media Player) with NTLite?

I know but it looks like problems may show up after removing IE with NTLite and IIRC NTLite removes more things than MSMG ToolKit so I suppose even more problems may show up when comparing with the IE removal by MSMG ToolKit.

Haven't followed msgm thread for a while - last thing i know it's only suitable for English/US language installs - so maybe that's the answer.

I think it already supports non-en-us removal but the "normal" component removal is not supported for 1903 yet. Regardless of that, I suppose I may have problems after removing some components with NTLite and/or MSMG ToolKit (even if it fully supports 1903).

We all have - miner or big - but sure nuhi is working the pants out of the ass to solve all of our diffenrent challenges! Sorry my french.
Before i use the free version too of NTLIte combined with msmg - and that fucked up everything - even in earlies versions of Windows 10!

I still combine both programs (well, not now since MSMG ToolKit doesn't support 1903 component removal the "normal" way like I told before).

Disabling features is officially supported by Microsoft you do not even need NTLite to do this can be done via Dism or in Windows so I believe this will not cause problems unless some program uses IE or WMP directly.

Ok, but if I don't want to lose time after installing Windows (or if I don't know how to do it) I may disable it right away with NTLite.
