Hi edge914, thanks for you reply.
I've discovered where the problem is started: i use a ramdisk (imdisk) and set the temp folder on it.
For reasons that i ignore the temp forder cause a problem during a file extraction. So i decide to remove it and extract in a new folder from a windows iso the files: in this manner the mounting process with ntlite works well. Later i try with a update version of ramdisk and test it.

Right, if using RAM disk use it for Scratch location only.
Even then, it's not the issue with disk access speeds, it's the CPU single-core speed that is most important.

The mistery continued...i've removed ram disk and load a new iso but the problem remain:

maybe a hard drive problem?

Nothing to do Nuhi, maybe it's too difficult for me to apply the remedies suggested in the forum. I tried to use a backup image of the system I created some time ago with acronis true image, applying it to disk c: and formatting the disk d: (where I keep the original iso files of windows and other personal data that I saved on a 'other external disk). As soon as I try to load an image from an unpacked ISO file with 7zip with Ntlite, the system blocks the upload indicating the notorious error 18: out of files.
The only thing I noticed strange about the extracted iso folder is that it keeps the read-only file feature.

I have tried in many ways to remove that state but to no avail, the folder remains read-only. Any suggestions to solve this problem?

ISO content must be copied to some new subfolder on the disk and used from there, not loading directly from the ISO or from a root of any drive.

Thanks Nuhi, finally I understood where the error was ... the 7zip setting was wrong, and it produced uncompressed iso files without the necessary user level permissions. So when NTLite tried to load the wim file, it was blocked.
As you can see in the 'image below, you have to set the iso files in the administrator column, and not in other users, as it was in my case.

 I bought a hard disk unnecessarily, believing that it was a hardware problem .... patience.

the nightmare returns, again it is not possible to load the wim image to update the system.
this is the log file generated by nt lite:

I tried, as suggested by Nuhi in an old post to try with gimagex and there were no problems loading the image ..

And now what? I tried to move the decompressed iso file to various directories but nothing to do.
Does anyone, including Nuhi obviously, know what to do at this point?
thank you, I spent a lot of time trying to solve this problem by myself.

Thanks, I'll contact you over PM to go over this in detail, appreciate the feedback.
