Start menu opens after a delay of about 1 second instead of immediately

Hi all,

I did an NTLite"ning" of the latest Windows 10 (1909) and then installed it. All works absolutely fine, except the start menu of Windows 10. Upon clicking on it I have to wait for about 1 second until it opens up, a behavior which I never saw before in one of my Windows installations.
Could anyone please have look into my preset-file and tell me which setting in NTLite could cause such a behavior?
That would be really nice and I thanky all of you 1000 times in advance.

Hi,

thanks for reporting.

After using the preset, there was no issue, but after installing latest Windows updates on top of it, saw the delay.

Solution is simple, each time after updating Windows, run Remove Reinstalls tool, until it's automated when Windows build change is detected.
Tool doesn't have to be activated on the target machine.

Since 1903, Windows is returning removed updated pieces with cumulative updates.

Hi nuhi,

many many thanks for answering so fast!

Ok, I understand I need to run a tool named "Remove Reinstalls", but unfortunately I don't know such a tool nor I can find it via Google.

May be I misunderstood you???

Could you please give me some additional information about "Remove Reinstalls", please?

Have a nice weekend and regards,
Peter

Oh, sorry about that, it's in NTLite - toolbar on the first page - Tools - Remove Reinstalls.

Let me know how it goes, should solve it, if the components were removed with at least build 7180.

Nuhi,

also sorry for asking before searching (here in your forum) and reading. A few minutes before receiving your answer I found the solution here and tested it. Your hint was great, THAT was the solution!

Thanks a lot again and a double-nice weekend,
Peter
