USB disks not mounting/unmounting correctly

OK, weird removable drives problem...

Whenever I insert a USB drive, if it's the FIRST usb drive I've inserted since powering on, it will show up in windows explorer.

However, when I remove it, it still shows up as mounted in windows explorer. If I try to access it I get the following message.

If I re-insert it, it no longer auto-mounts. In order to access the drive, I need to manually associate it with a drive letter in diskmgmt. You can see I've reinserted the USB stick four times in the below image (E:\, F:\, and H:\ are from previous insertions, and the fourth time I haven't assigned it a drive letter yet).

Also, when I write something to the USB drive and then insert it in another computer, the other computer says the drive is unreadable. Changing the USB FS (exFAT/FAT32/NTFS) doesn't affect readability on other computers. My USB mouse still works fine though.

I think this is a bug in NTLite. Something is getting removed that shouldn't be.

Attached is the preset I used.

Thanks!

I'm not asking you to solve this immediately, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some sort of response.

Even if it's just "Thanks, working on it" or even "I'm busy right now but I'll look into it next week". It takes just 30 seconds to type that out but it makes your customer feel like you care.

Hi :)

this tab was left open, haven't actually read it until now, my apologies.

Will try it tomorrow and let you know if I get the same with the preset, otherwise please attach any other tweaks you might be using.

Tried, and cannot replicate.

Two things come to mind, USB controller drivers, try Windows default if you update any, and antivirus or something else locking the partition.

Will send you a PM with the latest version just in case, but I doubt it makes any difference.

Thanks.
