Windows is slowly rewriting parts of legacy File Explorer and the Desktop, using the Windows App SDK.

WinAppRuntime is a set of framework libraries to support these system (and user) apps. Generally you should leave them alone unless you have a 3rd-party desktop replacement.

and the "Scripto + VBScript" parts, what about those?

Because IIRC, scripto/VBScript is legacy stuff for executing JS/VB scripts on the local machine directly without going to the browerser, no?

And it was used heavily as an attack-surface in the past

VBScript is obvious. I honestly don't know what Scripto covers, you could probably remove it using NTLite and check the DISM logs for the package instance.

Right now, my primary PC is offline (from bad HW) and I'm waiting for another unit.
