Some backgrounder - I use Winget on a few of my machines here (both Win 10/Win 11) to perform general "updates" from time to time.
WinGet uses the Windows Settings (Apps and Features) area to determine exact version numbers:
WinGet does report on NT Lite and does tell me when a new version is available:
However - when the NT Lite installer runs - it never actually tells the OS the new version number that has been installed - and WinGet of course - keeps thinking NT Lite needs an update.
I am already running the latest NT Lite:
But of course (as displayed in the first screencap above) WinGet (and Windows itself) still thinks NT Lite is about 8 versions behind.
I do this exact same routine for other apps here like MPC-HC (Below) and it's installer always records the correct (updated) version every time I manually run their installer (which WinGet does by default during an upgrade pass in PowerShell) :
Can this be addressed?
Sonic.
